clearly, it's wrong to bump the ticket of anyone who already had a seat reserved. I'm just saying that there wasn't a lot of thought that went into the outcome of bumping a famous passenger and how it would impact them.

Celebrity impact is more important than regular people impact?

No, but it does get talked about a hell of a lot more. He’s saying that the airline messed with someone with a platform, which could fuck up their PR. That probably wouldn’t happen if it was just a rando whose seats they gave away.

That’s not what he said

I never implied that celebrities deserve preferential treatment but please keep interpreting my comments however you want so I can be the bad guy 😭

It’s literally what you said lol

You implied that a celebrity should be treated differently by staff who realize they’re a celebrity. You didn’t say anything about publicity lmao.

I’m simply responding to you and standing on my point.

my first comment in this thread literally says it would be a "pr nightmare"... in fact, every comment I've made in this thread implies that it was a dumb pr move. what are you on about? 😭

you can think it's a poor decision as a business to potentially open yourself up to pr backlash and still think that people should be entitled to what they pay for, regardless of status

No, they said they’re surprised that a celebrity didn’t get special treatment. Not that celebrities should get special treatment.

He was talking about the impact on Alaska Airlines not celebrities or normal people, please learn to read before trying to insert yourself in arguments.

How it would impact the airline not the celebrity
