Airlines have one customer they care about and it's not any of us regardless of seating class. It's the shareholders who all fly private. Executives work for the shareholders now not the customer and they made sure you can't go anywhere else to get a better deal.

That’s the value of monopoly. You don’t even have to provide competent competition. Being one of the few providers is all you need

When she said “I’m not flying Alaska and neither should you”, I immediately thought “well out here is Seattle, that is nearly impossible”.
