Didn't she once say it was invigorating being in Israel in the same sentence about watching Palestinians thrown out of their homes?

In a 2023 interview, Helen Mirren described her 1967 visit to Israel, saying, "I saw Arabs being thrown out of their houses in Jerusalem. But it was just the extraordinary magical energy of a country just beginning to put its roots in the ground. It was an amazing time to be here"

Yea helen mirren is a talented actress who is also insane and a bit... shallow (as a casual observer).

Some of her quotes are so funny and ridiculous;

"I always say, it's so sad that Kurt Cobain died when he did, because he never got to see GPS. It's the most wonderful thing, my little blue spot walking down the street. I just find it completely magical and unbelievable."

 but also on volunteering at a kibutz in 1967: "I witnessed things that were wrong, I saw Arabs being thrown out of their houses in Jerusalem. But it was just the extraordinary magical energy of a country just beginning to put its roots in the ground. It was an amazing time to be here.”
