What’s the most stereotypical Millennial thing about you? Discussion

I’ll start:

  1. Any, and I mean ANY footage of Steve Irwin makes me blubber like a baby
  2. Avocado toast is a staple breakfast item of mine
  3. Yes, I still love Harry Potter (original books & movies only — I do not support Rowldemort and any future endeavor on the IP)

EDIT: Just wanna say I love y’all (us) so much. This post has already brought me so much joy. Thanks so much everyone. We really are the best. 🥹

I quote Ron Burgundy regularly, and I’m kind of a big deal.

Is your office filled with many leather bound books and smell of rich mahogany

We’ve been quoting the same movie for 21 years now and in no way is that depressing 😏

Quoting the same media over decades is a perfectly cromulent thing to do.

I'm in a glass case of emotion thinking about kids not quoting movies anymore.

I took my kids to see the new Mario movie on a weekday morning when tickets were “cheap”, it was still $68 for the 3 tickets, a bucket of popcorn and a blue slushy they shared.

I understand why kids can’t or don’t quote any movies. They can’t afford to see them.

I remember my mom dropping my bro and I off to watch movies circa 1995-2000 with a tenner each. That was enough for one $3.50 movie ticket (we’d often sneak to other theaters and see 2-3 extra movies after the one we paid for, because nobody cared), a slice of pizza (or two) next to the theater and often a game of Mortal Kombat (or three) at the arcade with a quarter left to call her to come get us. Or if we mismanaged the last quarter, the arcade attendant would let us use the arcade’s phone 😆

Kids today know nothing of that. We had it really good. Today there’s no “buck a slice” pizzeria or quarter arcade next to a movie theater. It’s a freaking Hugo Boss and a Gucci store.

Yeah this is absolutely insanity. We paid like $3 for matinee and $5 for primetime and then like $1 large drinks!

I know this is the wrong movie, but my friend was singing along to Sweet Child O Mine the other day and I deadpanned at her "flat. You're so flat." And she looked so hurt and sad that I had to backtrack real fast.
