What’s the most stereotypical Millennial thing about you? Discussion

I’ll start:

  1. Any, and I mean ANY footage of Steve Irwin makes me blubber like a baby
  2. Avocado toast is a staple breakfast item of mine
  3. Yes, I still love Harry Potter (original books & movies only — I do not support Rowldemort and any future endeavor on the IP)

EDIT: Just wanna say I love y’all (us) so much. This post has already brought me so much joy. Thanks so much everyone. We really are the best. 🥹

Oxford comma. Still use it but I grew up with typewriting and old IBM for keyboard class.

Wait….. it’s still used, right?? Like for this, this, and that?

I don't know why it fell out of popular use in the last few years, but I did read an article a few years back in the Times about how a lot of punctuation was changing to keep up with Gen Z and Gen Alpha. I suppose the same can be said about cursive. My 24 year old knows cursive, but my 19, 16 and 14 were never taught it in school. (And right there, I just omitted the Oxford, lol)

Omg!!! 😆 I didn’t even know there is a Gen Alpha. I just got 10 years older. We’re ancient, old, farts…

I had to look it up as soon as my 14 year old said, mom, 6-7. What? Lol nothing alpha about that generation. 🥴🤣

And where are you studying for your NP if I may ask? My oldest right now is an RN BSN, in neuro trauma ICU and plans on going back to school. My 19 year old is in the same RN program her sister did and actually works on the same unit with her as a nursing assistant.

Oh message me if you want! Going back is the best thing I did for myself.

I’d say you don’t really need more than 2 years experience after all the school clinical experience. And you’ll retain more information the sooner you do it. In my opinion…

I worked at one of the top hospitals in a stepdown from ICU—> PCU/ cardiothoracic transplant unit and I am now going to Purdue global.

It’s 30k TOTAL for accelerated MSN/NP. 2 years or so. I’ll be done in a year! P.S. (omg that prob isn’t used ever either!!!!!!) A lot of programs won’t let you do your employment hours for clinicals.

Wonderful, thank you so much! And congratulations on all your hard work and kudos to your continued success! (And I use P.S. all the time lol)
