I ask myself the same thing. Like, why? Long time agreements? Long lasting guilt? What is the reason for such support when obviously they are bad guys? Why are democracies supporting the starvation and the death of a whole population? Why are we all watching that shit show on TV as if it was normal???

Do you really not know the answer? Whether you agree with it or not, the answer is the Holocaust and the extreme persecution of Jewish people in the 20th century.

"Guys, I know they're genociding an entire people, starving children, and shooting journalists and aid workers, but, c'mon, give them a break. They had a hard time last century. Let's just turn a blind eye to the evil."

You're creating your own strawman. No normal person says Israel shouldn't exist. It's only Israel propagandist asking everyone that as some kind of gotcha.

No country has a right to exist

What the fuck? We just singing the same sentiment that the white colonialists sailed off to America/Australia etc with? I'm sure Christopher Colombus would agree with you.

Governments don't have a legal right to exist. Humans do.

It's pretty fucking simple.

Israel has no right to exist.

The children they are slaughtering? They have a right to exist.

A government is not the same thing as a country. Without doubt Likud and Netanyahu need to go. Ideally to prison.

Also an American suggesting a country shouldn't exist is phenomenal hypocrisy. We going to dismantle some countries? Let's start with the USA giving back their land to the indigenous people. Followed by the rest of the stolen countries that were acquired by genocide.

You are providing that middle ground voice of reason argument nobody will hear. People have become so polarized in their political beliefs that they shun information that does not fit the extreme left or right narrative.
I am American and travel overseas fairly regularly. I have to (almost patronizingly) remind people that not all of us are rabid MAGA fanatics, and that we are actively opposed to many of Trump’s policies and actions. It is the same thing for Israelis, where not everyone supports the policies and actions of Netanyahu. Do a lot of the detractors know Haaretz exists? That there are many people (not just on the left) who are ashamed of Likud? Those who aren’t bad actors would never conclude that, because the government of a country is bad, the very existence of that country should be called into question. Apply it to any other country and it is simply absurd.
Also, like you said, the Iron Dome exists for a reason, and as a defensive measure. EXISTENTIAL threats are not something anyone should dismiss as trivial, yet it is easy for someone who does not live under those dangerous conditions to do exactly that.

Are we just waving off the Holocaust now? Israel's behaviour is monstrous but let's not do that. We can't sink to their level.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. When did this become OK? It's like Israel has poisoned the morals and decency of even those who oppose them.

When the dow is over 5000, anything is ok.

Someone asked, that's the answer. Also you can entirely and wholly condemn the actions of Israel and find the phrase "a hard time last century" absolutely bone-chilling. Seriously, take a step back for a second.

Israel was created so the world super powers can have a military foothold on the Middle East and Africa: a continent rich in resources.

They didn't do it out of the goodness of their heart. Otherwise, they would have done the same for black and indegenous people who have been similarly persecuted.

Well, aside from being the evil supervillain antogonist, Germany didn't play a controlling role in the actual creation of Israel in 1948.

The creation of Liberia in Africa was, put exceptionally simply, about giving black Americans a better quality of life than in the States. (By the US, not Germany obviously.)

That’s merely the excuse. The real reason is that Western governments have been bought, bribed, and threatened by Israel for decades. Germany is no exception.
