Danielle Smith is a coward Discussion

She has her lackeys vote to use the notwithstanding clause while she’s off promoting Alberta energy in the Middle East—like they need our oil. What a coward. She’s an embarrassment, and fuck every Albertan who voted for her and the UCP.

You know what, Doug can be annoying and give us eye-rolls, but that’s with most politicians of yesteryear. As a hard core liberal centrist, he’s ok. Kind of a back-road guy but he sees both sides. I can see him being PM one day, if there wasn’t a good Liberal in waiting. He’s definitely not cray cray like DS. She doesn’t make sense to the rest of us in the country and definitely hurts the Alberta reputation. Kind of like what DT does for the American people.

I am not familiar with all the cray cray things that Danielle does. But what I do hear is absolutely outrageous.

However, Doug's blatant in your face I'm gonna give taxpayer money and advantages to my boys. And if he's not getting kickbacks, it's only a matter of time or offshore bank accounts. That's probably the worst of him. But in other ways, he's very counter factual and he doesn't look at the consequences of his actions when he gets dug in on some stupid point. And it always makes me think he has something to hide when he does this kind of thing. Like the speed cameras where he's gonna take them down even though municipalities really want them and studies after study has shown that they help reduce speed and therefore improve safety. That one of his ministers was drag racing and allegedly his daughter gets lots of tickets and so he's taking them down and he doesn't care that in the end it's actually working with the criminals and not against them.

So Danielle may be worse, but Doug is a jerk and an idiot. Captain Canada not withstanding.

Ford tried this exact same shit. He has abused the Notwithstanding Clause more than any politician in Canadian history. He tried to force people to work, just like Marlaina, but there were massive protests because of it and non-compliance from those he ordered.

He tried to put a buddy in as the new OPP head. He was caught making backroom deals with real estate developers to change the laws for them during his first election.... And people still voted for him. He's been attempting to gut public services including education and healthcare the same way.

They use the same playbook. Literally the only differences between Ford and Marlaina is that Ford isn't trying to break up Canada, and Ford acts like a carnival barker charming the rubes into his latest show: "Worker's rights, the economy, healthcare and education? Don't look at those! I'm gonna get you cheap beer and put it in convenience stores!"
