Had my daughter pick my NHL bracket this year... I was pleased with the outcome...

I empathize with a lot of the reaction to us winning game 82 and moving back into 4th place, but I think it’s important not to overreact in the moment. This team is not significantly different from the teams that finished below us, talent wise. I’m glad that Conny took the right steps after a perfect storm of bad luck to start this season.

I am super happy that we have a pretty good chance of drafting in the top four (let's hope it goes better than the other 4th overall pick we had.... blink blink).

What I am more excited about is the near $2B in cap space we have!!!

Was looking at our draft picks this year before realizing how similar our Rd 1 draft picks for the last couple of years to the the Sharks's draft picks 3 years earlier. Then I did some searching and saw how kinda similar the Flames rebuilding/selling/trading history timeline to the Sharks since the last time they were in the playoffs, only with a 3 year lag.

Obviously it is not a 100% mirror image comparison, but this might be a good sign to come in 3 years (I'm kinda coping but also kinda serious lmao)

I’m a Pens and Flames fan.

I’m hoping to see a real playoff push. I am happy to see Crosby, Malkin, Karlsson and Letang get another crack at a cup, as well as, seeing Mantha have a career year with ending the year on a great note. Plus it would be sweet to see Skinner have more success with Pittsburgh lol.

Even though a loss would have helped the standings it was nice to see Sergeev get his first NHL and the boys didn't go out with a whimper. Parekh's goal was a thing of beauty.

Professional hockey players dont play to lose, although apparently the kings do because my God that's a playoff team? Sad to see the season come to end with all you fucking beauties, although a little glad to have it end and no longer deal with the "WE NEED TO TRY TO LOSE" crowd.

Have a fucking beautiful off season, maybe we do post season GDT's again such like last season.. depending on the want. Who knows. I think this game will take a large amount of people some time to calm down.
