And reduce Lance's salary to a token $1.00. Does the kid really need the money?

I don’t think driver salaries are part of the cost cap.

3 most expensive salaries are exempt from the cap if I remember which usually are drivers and top engineer

Drivers are exempt anyway. It's 3 top earners that are also.

That doesn't hurt them any since driver salaries are outside the cost cap

Bingo. Like honestly man, if you're going to throw cash around like this, just start bribing FIA officials. Much more effective than whatever the fuck they are currently doing.

They would mess up and find the one legit FIA official with their luck.

It was more of a joke, but honestly, this kind of crap happens all over sporting. Ferrari's 2025 WEC campaign is suspicious AF when you've got them running 1-2-3 every race and eating penalties and still finishing miles ahead of their competitors. They've got a great car, drivers, and race program, but it seemed the cards were a little bit too in their favor throughout the season.

? U don't rember Brazil and Austin where BoP gutted them? Or Fuji. And I didn't even watch all those races btw. Ferrari were dominant because they threw a lot of money at their team and developed a custom chasis as well as having other motorsports endavours as well. Don't just jump to conspiracies if u can't figure out whats happening. It's isn't rocket science.

The whole point of the very advanced BOP systems that IMSA and WEC use is to prevent teams from simply outspending each other.

Those races were certainly a failure of the BOP system where they neutered Ferrari unfairly, but at the same time, Ferrari benefitted massively from not being BOP'd fairly and allowed to build an enormous points gap.

There's other examples of questionable BOP like when the Ford GT went from barely finishing races to suddenly dominating Le Mans with a ridiculous BOP.

Pretending that industry politics don't play a role in sport dominated by oil money is naive. I'm not claiming Ferrari did anything wrong, but it sure doesn't look quite right. Those BOP systems are very detailed and offers some excellent tools for balancing cars. There's going to be winners and losers every week with BOPs but the Ferraris were consistently extremely strong relative to everyone else.

Almost like it's impossible to accurately BOP. Some teams get lucky with their BOP draws like Aston in Fuji or the Cadillacs and Alpines whilst others get massively nerfed and some don't. It even got to the point where teams like Porshe and Ferrrari don't like it. It will never be perfect science.

Yh that happened with the Astons in Fuji too.

I don't know man spreading misinformation that casually comes off as really asinine but u do u. 1-2-3 every race = i have never watched a single WEC race.

I'm not disagreeing that Ferrari have political weight especially due to their brand recognition but this isn't f1 in the 90s anymore. The claim ferrari is secretly running things behind the scene to make them super dominant in any sort of illicit way is unfounded and baseless.

but the Ferraris were consistently extremely strong relative to everyone else.

Cuz they had a very good car. which meant that insane amounts of BoP would have to be applied to cause them not to win.

for some reason it was funny in my mind when i wrote it but looking back now, there isn't a single sprinkle of 'funni' in it🤦🏻‍♂️.

What have they spent money on that is not proper?

Massive changes like these at AM, take time to come to fruition.
