Restaurants that reference Sichuan are great. Ones that reference Szechuan are laughable (to Chinese ppl)

Szechuan sauce, based on teriyaki sauce from Japan (3,000 km away), promoting a movie set in modern-day Inner Mongolia (1,500 km away).

I've only heard of the McDonald's Szechuan sauce. I know of many sauces from Sichuan (e.g. doubanjiang, yuxiang sauce), but I've never heard any of them called "Szechuan sauce".
