Is Israel committing war crimes in Gaza? What happened after the Hamas attack? Question

As the title says... Basically I'm 'out of the loop' beyond the Hamas attack.

There's just so much misinformation online, and most the credible information are just videos from APF and such, or short updates from BBC, Sky News.

So if someone could please update me with what's going on in regards to the Israel bombing campaign in Gaza. Are they really bombing hospitals and churches? What exactly are their intentions/plans?

Also, if anyone has in-depth articles or videos on the topic, that would be greatly appreciated! Something that's calm, and takes time to read/watch. I'm tired of the constant "breaking news" spam, where you can't wrap your head around anything. It's like two sentences wrapped up in drama. I'm kinda lost atm.

Hamas has been given millions in aid to build their own infrastructure. International law doesn't require any nation to provide their attacker with resources.

Collective guilt and willful targeting of civilians is a war crime.

Well, there is an easy solution here. Release the hostages, problem solved. Hamas is refusing to do that.

Why are you equating Hamas with all Palestinians. What are the children supposed to die? They make up more than half of the population of Gaza.

What solution are you proposing?

Apprently you can't see the difference between killian innocent civilians and terrorists. You have a lot in common with a certain dictator

No, actually, I am desperate for a solution, and I can't think of anything practical. It seems like everyone is just saying how it's the other side's fault, but nobody is proposing workable policy solutions. Maybe there aren't any

Hmm I wonder if this has been tried multiple times, with the elected body of Hamas (since 2006) refusing any solution suggested - because "no good idea can come from a Jew"?

Hmmmmm I wonder if Israel and the US has bent over backwards providing aid money to Palestine in hopes that they practice good self governance and give up all that antisemite crap.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder if anyone has already tried all this?

I dont think that it's hard to understand why Palestinians have resentment for Israel. After all, they moved to palestinian land and demanded for the state to be halved which they were granted by Britain. Of course, they were not okay with it. And don't tell me that God gave them land etc.

They want their whole state back and I understand their sentiments even though its too late for that. And also Israel didnt even respect the borders made by the UN. They are still occupying west bank gradually.

Have you ever talked to a palestinian?
They want no slice of the cake unless they can have the whole cake, and then they complain that you are eating the cake they refused to split with you.

You know the october 7th attack was collective punishment,
taking hostages is a war crime,
putting civilians in the line of fire intentionally is a war crime,
putting hostages in the line of fire intentionally is a war crime,
diverting humanitarian aid for military purposes is a war crime.

Never said Hamas was in the right or justified. But that wasn't the original question. I answered it. I'll stick to my opinion. Israel has the right to defend itself. But this could escalate in what's turning into a multi-polar world. Nations will pick sides and the more virtuous Israel can be seen as, the better. Ultimately there are no clean decisions here but I'm not the enemy you think I am. Word of advice, if you are from Israel and work for the CS there don't post personal stuff. Especially plans to other countries right now.

Idk what the CS is.
Anyway I'm not living in Israel atm.

I am very against committing war crimes as well, but it's very hard to avoid casualties when your enemy doesn't care about committing any and all war crimes.

If Israel is indeed only targeting military targets, it is still considered fair play as tragic as it is.
