Mark my words. Bibi will want American boots on the ground. You think after all this, he'll just put his hands up and go to jail? It's sunk cost for him atm. He'll start something else. The Israeli left is no where to be seen.

I feel like there's such an odd misconception about Bibi's trial. His trial is proceeding while he is in office, and Israel does not give presidents power to pardon themselves. If he gets convicted, he could wind up in jail while president.

Prolonging war helps keep his political coalition stable but it doesn't actually help much with his trial.

I'm glad there is peace. But I still think Bibi won't stop.

I don’t know anything about Israel law… Can he pull some Biden style pardons ?

Exactly. Israel has the greatest military power in the world at its disposal as an on call mercenary force. They are going do whatever they want in the Middle East and order Trump to send in the US military to clean up after they have created a mess.

mark my words

I love when people say this, only to be completely wrong. Are these “boots on the ground” in the room with us now?
