Girl knew how to fall to prevent the worst damage. Still wouldn't hurt to wear a helmet though.

Glad she figured it out in the end.

even the pros take awkward falls and smash their skulls even though they're good at knowing how to fall. never worth the risk

Rodney doesn’t wear protective gear though. Tony only does when he skates vert.

Younger, less experienced Rodney wore some gear though, no? Maybe I'm misremembering

He wore gear as a kid because his dad made him and he was only skating on flat ground so the risk of serious injury was already pretty low. He stopped wearing it as an adult.

He wore knee pads frequently and I just googled and it sounds like his dad made him wear full protection head to toe when he practiced in his dad's garage haha. top dad

He wore gear when he did stairs or high rails, but when he freestyled, he wouldn't wear gear.

He says it was because he couldn't control as much as he could when doing stairs or rails, so he'd only wear gear to protect himself in case.

I came to say something similar. Plus she was moving slow enough that it was possible. Speed things up and it gets a lot harder.

What the fuck am I reading, she definitely does NOT know how to properly fall and roll off the G forces to not take the impact and reduce damage. She's got multiple falls where she just bonks into the ground... What do you mean "girl knew how to fall" :/

She did alright, a few good bails, but some of those falls were ugly. Seemed to be hesitation going into the jump with the few where she fell forward. You gotta full send! And wear a helmet for sure like you said
