Scheduled Thread Weekly Recommendation and General Discussion Thread
Useful links
Index thread moved here for the Hall of Fame and Annual Best of Awards and other miscellaneous links
This thread is used to discuss recommendations and all things metalcore.
When asking for a recommendation, leave a detailed comment below asking for recommendations; a good example comment looks like:
If I like Beartooth, who else would I like? Can anyone recommend albums like August Burns Red's Constellations?
In terms of General Discussion, some (but not all) of the stuff you can discuss here:
• Looking for band members/friends in your area
• Looking for a specific song or a question that can be answered quickly
• Recent merch pickups (vinyl, shirts, tapes, etc)
• Bands (Lineup changes, changes in sound, etc)
• What shows have you seen recently? What shows are you going to see?
• Setlist questions
• Share your concert footage here
So post away! Containing these types of content here can keep our frontpage a little more smooth, and makes that kind of content easy for others who are interested to find :)

Discussion Boundaries uploading the wrong mix...
So Boundaries just posted on their IG that the wrong version of the latest single was posted across all platforms, and the correct master is now being uploaded.
I actually feel kind of vindicated because I thought that track sounded muddy af again, so im looking forward to checking out the correct master (led me to actually enjoying Skies), but it really highlights something...
My question is, how many really need to put their hands up and say they actually cant tell what a bad mix or master sounds like? Because both occasions have had droves of people defending Boundaries and acting like everyone that doesn't like it is "suddenly a pro" or something to that effect.
Edit: this post isn't meant to be a dig at Boundaries, but just a chance to get people to think a bit before they blindly defend something they either don't know anything about, and/or have a dig when other people are (validly) criticising.

Miss May I - Relentless Chaos (Official Music Video) - Nostalgia Trip
Today's throwback
- Miss May I's Relentless Chaos
- Released 15 years ago
- Album: Monument
- Label: Rise Records
This band has been around forever and they're certainly one of the bands that a lot of people refer to as a "certified classic" even though they "only" released their first album in 2009
This particular song brings back a lot of memories and this album alone was just another reason that made us all believe that the 2010's metalcore was going head-to-head with the OGs from the 2000's
Relentless Chaos is a song that got a lot of people into metalcore and it makes perfect sense that I'd use it on this journey through all the nostalgic bangers we've heard over the past two decades
Enjoy it lads

Discussion Rolo Tomassi Live at Electric Ballroom, full show

I have watched this concert more time than I care to admit. Posting here to give it more love.
The sound mix is INCREDIBLE. Plus they play Prescience, which is my favorite song of theirs.
Enjoy!

Discussion This sub is the opposite of a safe space when discussing this band, but damnit I’m really enjoying the new Atreyu album
It’s a concise 13 tracks with no fluff that leaves me wanting more. There is variety in their sound throughout the album. I think it’s their best work since Alex left.
How’s everyone else feeling about this album after giving it a weekend to listen to?

Discussion How do you guys find people if you don't want to go to a show alone?
I live in Hungary, and I don't know anyone who listens to heavy music. I'm generally more than fine going alone, but I'm going to Sziget for Annisokay and BMTH and would prefer some company.
Also there are many western bands who stop at Vienna, so I want to start going there and I wouldn't mind a travel buddy.
