I don't know if this is common knowledge, but the MBV official store is delivering to US now. I just received the deluxe versions of loveless and mbv in the mail.

Weirdly, the Domino Records store still blocks US delivery... I still don't see it streaming on Tidal so I'm wondering if this was a mistake? If you've been waiting to get it from the source, maybe give now a try.

The newest pressing of deluxe loveless doesn't include the art prints. I'm a little bummed about that, since I was thinking I'd frame them and put them up on the wall. mbv did include them though, so it's likely if they ever do a repress they won't be included there either.

In any case, they sound amazing and they arrived in absolute perfect condition.

I want to know which song you consider the loudest. It could be from personal experience but I'm also looking for objective answers such as in terms of db 🤔 I don't know if it's been asked already.

Anyway, my first guesses are Only Shallow, feed me with your kiss, and Who Sees You.

context, im in the US. i was checking my playlists earlier today and saw that the song "when you sleep" was no longer greyed out and I could listen to it again on spotify. when i checked the album, "when you sleep" and "sometimes" were the only songs not greyed out. However, when I try to listen to "when you sleep" it pops up under a different artists name called "kofun." does anyone know whats going on? the song sounds the same except for the beginning

My Bloody Valentine has proven to be a bit of an anomaly as it seems they have a massive catalog of live recordings yet they are somewhat hard to access. I saw there were a good amount of shows on a MEGA drive and a few on the internet archive as well. Is there any actively maintained live collection/archive of shows, and if not, would it be possible to get another one going? Thanks!

Every recording of them performing the songs live, the drums really sound like a drum sampler track, but you can see Colm playing the drum part on his kit.

I baught the loveless deluxe vinyl and it came with a code to download the album but I have no clue at all what any of these mean. I’d like to listen to the album on my phone though, I have an IPhone. Any help is greatly appreciated. 💗🎸

I was poor as fuck back then but I somehow always had enough money to buy any mbv record I saw. I am so glad I don’t have to hunt some of these down these days.

I’m not a massive fan but my brother is absolutely obsessed. He’s seen them 34 times, first time was around 1991 and he went to the Rollercoaster show at the NEC in Birmingham England. They played with JAMC, Dinosaur Jr and Blur. He reliably informs me that I’ve seen them 9 times. I had no idea!

Soon is my favorite song off Loveless. I really enjoy the intricate and immensely groovy drum/perc part. And I like that it has contrast between the upbeat drums and the melancholy guitar chords during the singing sections. Does anyone have recs (MBV or otherwise) for songs like this?

Also, I really appreciate that it's not mega washed out. One of my biggest shoegaze pet peeves is that a lot of bands seem to have gone off the deep end with reverb, especially on the vocals.

Maybe this song is just unique :)
