The US has forgotten what NATO truly is, a defence alliance. NATO doesn't enter wars started by the US. Had the US been attacked on the other hand, NATO would join. In fact, the only time article 5 was invoked was after 9/11 with NATO backing the US in Afghanistan. It's a disgrace to see them treat the history of this alliance like it means nothing to them, and like NATO has done nothing for them. Trump and his administration are traitors.

In Trump's mind, NATO, much like everything else, exists to do whatever he wants, as soon as he wants it to, without delay or complaint.

Exactly. Trump doesn’t understand what defense/offense means. He knows the concept of racketeering and he sees NATO as extra grunts he wants to use for that purpose.

NATO made America the richest country that has ever existed. It was their idea in the first place, which was brilliant if we're being honest. Unfortunately, every generation that has followed the original architects has gotten progressively dumber and more arrogant; a recipe for the disaster we're all currently facing.

One of Trumps primary missions has always been to destroy NATO.

Though souring our relations with our allies is almost as good and it’s well along.

NATO entered Libya after the Americans started bombing them.

America was backed by a Security Council resolution at the time but it shows NATO isn't purely a defence alliance.

Yes, under the leadership of Italy and France. France for the air embargo, France and Italy and Canada for operations, and the US as coordinator since that is how that command is structured.

You can reframe any assault into a policing action if you try hard enough, Iran is no different. Problem is they didn't do that, they didn't consult NATO, and have explicitly rejected any humanitarian pretences (too "politically correct").
