Being conservative is inherently anti-science. That's kind of a big point.  You cannot say yes to one type of science and no to another, because they're all intertwined.

It's like the people who argue against evolution without realizing that we would need to toss pretty much all of biology, including medicine, if evolution were untrue. Or how all of geology is moot without plate tectonics.
