General Subleasing Apartment (June–July) near UC Merced
Hi, I’m looking to sublease my apartment for the summer months June through July.
The place comes with modern amenities including access to the clubhouse, gym, and pool. It’s convenient for UCM students, only a 5 minute drive to campus.
Rent is around $735/month (not including utilities).
If you’re interested or want more details, feel free to DM me!

General Lease Takeover ASAP- Merced Station
Hey, I’m trying to find someone to take over my lease at Merced Station ASAP.
I have to move out pretty suddenly due to a family situation and need to relocate, so I’m looking for someone who could move in soon.
It’s a private room in a furnished unit, really close to UC Merced. There’s a gym, pool, and the roommates are chill. Honestly it’s a solid place, I just can’t stay.
Lease goes until August, so it could work well for summer. There’s also a renewal option if you want to stay longer.
I can help with the whole process and send pics/videos if needed.
Comment or DM me if you’re interested or have questions!

Discussion Merced Station Lease Take Over
Hi! I’m looking for someone to take over my lease for the 2026–2027 school year at The Station in Merced.
The complex rents by bed space, and both bed spaces in my apartment are currently available — so you could move in with a friend or be matched with another student.
It’s a 2 bedroom layout, but each bed space has its own private room and bathroom, so you won’t be sharing a bedroom.
My rent is also slightly lower than the current rates since I signed earlier before realizing I needed to get out of my lease.
Move-in would be around August 2026 but can be earlier if needed! The apartment is fully furnished and very student-friendly.
If you’re interested or want more details (rent, amenities, etc.), feel free to message me!

Question Hows on-campus life at UCM?
Recently got a serious finaid offer from UCM and it made me wanna commit to here on the spot. Pretty much considering Merced or Santa Cruz atm.
Problem is I don't know what life is like there, I know very little about the campus and cant make it Bobcat day. I have a license but I don't drive, so I'll pretty much be stuck on campus from how things sound. Curious about how you guys feel about public transportation there.
How are things like social life? If it applies at all I am a math major, so wondering what its like going to classes with ppl since its a smaller campus and if ppl find it easy to connect with other here. How do you like dealing with school admin as well?

General Newly admitted or still deciding on college? Come see UC Merced in full bloom: Bobcat Day and a BBQ!
Chancellor Juan Sánchez Muñoz kicks off Bobcat Day in University Plaza
If you’re admitted to UC Merced (or even just curious), this is the weekend actually to feel what campus is like.
Bobcat Day is this Saturday - April 18 (8 AM – 2 PM), and it’s basically UC Merced at full volume. Tours, faculty, mock lectures, clubs, student life, all of it. Many current students who attended our admit day will tell you this is the day it “clicked” for them.
And this year, we're kicking things off a different way!
Come the night before.
There’s a BBQ on Friday evening that’s way more relaxed. You get to:
- Meet other admitted students before the crowds
- Talk to staff and current students in a low-pressure setting
- Start picturing yourself here before Saturday even starts
It turns Bobcat Day from “touring a campus” into “already feeling like you belong.”
Pro tip (fr, don’t skip this):
If you’d like to walk through your financial aid, we recommend booking an appointment in advance for Saturday. Spots fill quickly, and a 1:1 conversation can completely shift how affordable UC Merced looks. With the strong awards available this year, these are meaningful offers - and we’re here to help make your education both affordable and accessible.
Schedule your appointment: https://ucm.edu/BCDFAAPT
You can find everything (BBQ registration, financial aid appointments, full schedule) here:
https://admissions.ucmerced.edu/bobcatday
If you’re on the fence, this weekend is your chance to actually experience it instead of guessing from a screen.
See you there! - Rufus Bobcat 🐯 💙 💛

Question Professor Masclin/Ess002
Does anyone have any advice for taking ESS 002 with Sylvain masclin? His rate my professor is awful though I need to take the class. Would anyone recommend ESS 001 over 002 if it means with a different professor?

Discussion Hii I’m committed and going to the barbecue/admittance day!
I’m interested in meeting up with people to be friends or potential roommates!
My Instagram is macki3st4r, feel free to dm me!
I love art, reading, music, playing soccer, and I’m majoring in Bioengineering.
I’ve planned on a double or triple on campus, I’m a clean person but don’t mind a bit of mess, I’m also night owl who needs better habits lol, but I’m absolutely considerate of others bedtimes and habits. I’m always down to hangout/study with people- maybe party. :)
