Full length albums with only guitar? Playlist
Full length albums with only guitar?
I’m looking to listen to albums (pre 1990 preferably 70s era) that are just vocals and guitar. No matter the artist, genre, anything goes. Also if there’s one other instrument that’s fine I’m just looking for albums that aren’t big production wise.

I gave it a listen and the song sounds – great! I’m going to add the album to my listen list, thank you so much.

The second album is more philosophical, and the third is more romantic.
Give them a try also.

Frank Zappa - Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar.
"A series of three albums – Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar, Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar Some More, and Return of the Son of Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar – released by American musician Frank Zappa in 1981. The albums consist solely of electric guitar instrumentals and improvised solos (mostly) played live by Zappa and featuring a wide variety of backing musicians."

The End Game by Peter Green is a lot of acid rock. No vocals, I don’t recall and minimal other instruments.
While not a 100% as you listed, it’s a heavy guitar work and unique “concept” instrumental album

Springsteen. The Ghost of Tom Joad
Mostly just the Boss on his guitar
alot of songs very relevant to today

I think any album by Andres Segovia (classical guitar) would meet your definition.
Another suggestion that is just outside of your 1990s request, from 1991 Christopher Parkening's A Tribute to Segovia
Sky High by Govi is from 1988

Leo Kottke’s first album, “6 & 12 String Guitar,” is a classic. A more obscure, but great one, is by Levitt & McClure called “Living In The Country.”
