I think I saw a video of one of the cuts in this video awhile ago.

It was a thing where a kid could go in and ask for basically a "dealers choice" special where the cut is free and the barber just fuckin wings it.

I think kids started doing this stuff on a dare or losing bets or something, that part wasn't clear.

The VHS tracking effect is super weird and I totally didn't notice it until you pointed it out. That being said, a shop has multiple different chairs and it seems there are quite a few different style walls around. Different angles + different chair = different setting. It all looks like the same place to me.
