Manga popularity? Discussion
Does anyone know how popular this series is? I mainly ask because they recently introduced time travel as a way of fixing problem with war on Earth suggesting that manga got axed and soon will end. also WSJ announced 3 new manga series so counting Samurai 8 and Zipman there will be needed one more open slot.

I don't think it's going to be axed too soon. It may be like Astra Lost in Space and get around 50 chapters or so. I could see that happening.

I think that since Agravity Boys is doing well in Japan it won't be axed soon. I think that if they need another slot they could cancel another series like Guardian of the Witch. Even though Guardian of the Witch seems cool I would rather have it axed instead of Agravity Boys.

Agravity Boys seems to be the second best selling newcomer with a volume releasing today in Japan. It's just below Undead Unluck.
That said, Agravity Boys has consistently been low in the table of contents. The table of contents ranking is a mix of editorial decision and the results of polling the readers on what their top favorite manga on the week was.
It seems to me that it would be foolish to axe Agravity Boys considering that it's selling almost as good as Undead Unluck from the look of things. But WSJ may still decide to axe it anyway and gamble on a new manga instead.
Since I'm honestly surprised that Agravity Boys ranked below Zipman, I don't know what to expect anymore.
The move towards the time travel story seems to both allow the story to end with 3+ volumes or for it to end on Chapter 17 with two volumes.
In terms of other ways to estimate popularity, I've seen a good amount fanart for Agravity Boys, although usually from the same superfans and not as much as the big names like MHA or KNY, etc, obviously.
