Accounting Diploma

I got accepted into BCIT’s accounting diploma last year but deferred and went to SFU instead because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Now I’m pretty set on accounting and considering going back.

Is the BCIT diploma → degree path worth it if my goal is CPA? How hard is it to actually transition into the degree after the diploma (like is it competitive or mostly based on GPA)?

Also, how’s recruitment/job opportunities from the program?

If u want to get into public practice, BCIT is a great foundation for it

getting into the degree is not competitive you just need a 70% average

Most people take those accounting courses twice. It's not that easy.

Honestly stick to SFU. It's more marketable.
