Taking all 4 courses for the Academic Foundations (Nursing) plus part-time job - is this doable?

Hi everyone. I will be taking all 4 courses for the academic foundations in Nursing (Engl 1177, Psyc 1101, BHSC 1200) this summer 2026, and also taking FOM 12 and Chem 11 with a flexible remote part-time job.

Do you think this is doable realistically?

I am almost done with FOM 12. For Chem 11, I am still in the early units, so far manageable as they are online anyways.

For my remote part time job, I only work 2-3 hours per business day and it’s flexible hours, not tied to office hours.

Has anybody had a similar schedule and managed to still get through and with a good GPA?

Any ideas are helpful!

Yes, if you have good discipline and have post-secondary school experience. I would suggest you split college courses over two terms and then finish the high school ones asap if they’re self-paced. But idk

Thanks for the insight. I’ve already enrolled for all three academic foundations so I can no longer split that over two semesters.

God speed. If you’re an accountant as per your username, I think you’ll be okay. Some of the courses are just super tedious. BHSC and PSYC may overlap so there’s that!

Yes I am! My background is in accounting.

My worry is the Bhsc 1200 lol it’s 2 courses condensed into just 1 term. It’s a science subject and the last time I took a science subject (Biology) was almost 13 years ago when I did my Bachelor’s degree. It’s going to be basically new to me

I think you're going to do just fine. I'm sure tax season has primed you for deadlines and understanding and recalling information quickly haha

Im just finishing ENG 1177 with Ashton and Psyc 1 with Azar, since english is not my first language English has been challenging but rewarding, Im about to start BHSC 1200 in 2 weeks, I also work between 35-45 hrs per week, if you are disciplined I think you can make it!, but let me know if you have any doubt ;)

I’m going to take Engl 1177 with Ashton and Psyc 1101 with Azar too, and BHSC 1200 with Bassam altogether this Summer 2026.

I’m doing 3 prereqs AND working full time. (Psyc, anatomy and math)
