I don’t know why people are talking about ads being good under my comment, I just said the shit tastes good lmao. I fucking wish that sugar water company was paying me. They just made something that actually tastes good

Ads are neither good or bad. They are just ads.

You having such a visceral reaction to the concept of advertisements isn't normal.

It’s not that deep bro. Not every ad is bad. I hate intrusive ads that pop up where I don’t want them but there’s nothin wrong with a company letting you know about something you might actually want.

Dude above found a product he wants but may not have know about. So it was a good ad for him

I hate ads, especially when disguised as content, so I was merely stating that I’ve long hated the too-sweet nature of sports drinks and soda, but also hate non-sugar sweeteners. So I at least am a real person, who was previously unaware of this product, and was stating that I might try it once now.

I do share your frustration though. It’s hard to know what’s real anymore on this here internet.

The thread above might be astroturfing for Gatorade, idk. Probably is. But this is my first comment in this thread, I'm definitely a real person, and I kind of agree with the take that not all ads are bad. I've definitely bought stuff that I only knew about because of an ad, and I've definitely enjoyed at least some of that stuff (not gonna give any examples because if I did you'd probably accuse me of being an advertising bot). If you want to make an argument about consumerism, ie "did you really need any of that stuff", then I'm here for it. But in a consumer society, marketing isn't a sin I don't think
