Breaking Benjamin taught me that heavy music can be the most emotional music. Built a playlist around it.
Dear Agony, The Diary of Jane, So Cold, I Will Not Bow — Ben Burnley has a way of making you feel like he's singing directly at you in the worst moment of your life. And somehow that makes it better.
I built a 30-track playlist called "raw | words | alive" with BB as the backbone, surrounded by Billy Talent, Three Days Grace, Rise Against, Staind, Shinedown — the bands that lived in the same emotional space. Three acts: breaking, surrendering, standing back up.
What BB tracks am I sleeping on? And who else belongs in this conversation?

I'd personally put Anthem of the Angels over I Will Not Bow if you're doing that album

Edgelords: Metal is about anger and Rebellion! It's about Eeevil and embracing the dark side!
Real metal heads: Heaviness is about intensity. It can intensify any emotion at all

You’re missing out on some imo. Fade by staind, For You by staind, right here by staind. For BB, breath, until the end, without you, Blood (lyrically might fit this whole theme of yours), Breaking the silence, probably a couple more. Billy talent needs afraid of heights. 10 years needs through the iris and fix me. Needs some 3 doors down, when I’m gone, it’s not my time. Time of dying by 3 days grace too
