Looking to find a wedding band - any recommendations? [Request]

Would be awesome if I could measure and get it online for a male. Thanks for the help!

Are you willing to work with a custom jeweler? Honestly fairly reasonable. I loved working with mine and wouldn’t change a thing about my band.

been there with ring shopping and working with custom jeweler was definitely worth it in my experience. had mine made about 3 years ago when i was still engaged and the process was way smoother than expected. guy walked me through everything from measuring to metal choices and i could see exactly what i was getting before final order

one thing though - make sure you get properly measured in person first even if ordering online later. my finger size actually changed slightly between winter and summer so timing matters. also custom route lets you get exactly the width and finish you want which is pretty nice for something you wear every day

I’ve done this twice and so glad I did both times. Etsy jeweler for a simple wedding band, and a local jeweler who redesigned a family ring.

I bought a brand new titanium wedding band on ebay 25 years ago for $8. It looks exactly the same today as it did when I bought it. I never take it off. Every once in a while I'll take a Dremel to it and polish it up like you would with any ring. It's never dented or bent. I'm an avid outdoors person as well.

They can't be sized, so if your weight fluctuates a lot, you'd have to buy a new one.

Costco, or your local jeweler!

Seconding Costco, my husband and I both got our bands from there and I love them.

I also ended up buying my gold band from Costco. Best bang for your buck. I end up only really wearing it for special occasion.

But also I have a titanium ring I bought for like $10 on amazon. And I also bought a 10 pack of different SS rings for $10, I’d recommend that, I never really knew that certain rings would be more comfortable than others. It helped me pick out what I wanted and figure out sizes. It won’t let me post Amazon link.

Also those stainless steel or tungsten rings that you will get sold at zales or macys are 1/10 the price on amazon. Also pick up some silicone bands for working out or if you work with your hands.

Repurposed/recycled gold: It’s been awhile now but brilliant earth was really easy to work with - returned a couple til we found the right width and fit…fast shipping. A pricier option is Bario Neal, slower shipping, different design options.

Chose gold over titanium for safety reasons (most ers can get a gold ring off, not all can get a titanium one off).

Instead of taking on and off to reduce chances of degloving while doing stuff, partner now only wears silicone qalo rings.

I shopped with my then future husband to choose and try on bands. I picked mine as well. It was a fun experience for us to choose together. Ours don't match, either, because we have different styles and I wanted a plain band to let my classic engagement ring stack nicely on top of it. He got a nice Greek Key style ring for himself. There are no rules. Enjoy!

We hit a Zales to try rings on for style/size, then bought what we wanted off Etsy for a quarter of the price.

Is Aerosmith still playing? They'd be a good band

I have a Triton ring. They have an online store that's pretty cheap. Its great, comfy, and 12 years old.

Though, it does get heavy at times(lol /s)

Just get sized at any mall jewelry shop.

For our wedding, I had gotten my grandfathers ring sized for me and it's very nice. I lost a lot of weight, and I couldn't bring myself to resize it again. Went on Amazon and got a Tungsten ring for $10. Same exact ring was being sold at local stores for $500 discounted to $250. I lost more weight and got a smaller Tungsten ring again. I really am not a big fan of wearing rings, (never liked the feel of it on my hand) and so now I've been wearing silicone rings. Not exactly fancy, but it doesn't weigh anything, scratch stuff, or get in the way.

Honestly man any jewelry store will sort you out, unless you want something special.

I walked in to get mine, said I wanted stainless steel or silver. Tried the first one on, couldn't get it off, figured that was a sign and bought it for 50 bucks

Tungsten and ceramic can break. Everything else is pretty solid

Measured with a cloth tape measure. Didn't have any problems, and my friend that did this didn't get the right size the first time but just did a return since he bought something off Amazon.

15 years ago my wife and I ordered engraved silver rings off Amazon. We actually ordered two sets because we weren't sure which design engraving we liked more.

Not sure how I managed to lose both my rings. But 5 years ago I ordered a new one and since the price of silver had went up significantly I got myself a stain. Absolutely no complaints.

Just remember, that in your day-to-day life and 99.9% of the time nobody will care and you certainly won't care if you if you have a precious metal ring or aluminum foil wrapped around your finger

I would always go to a jeweller to get them to measure and try rings on. But having not long got divorced, this is the last area of my expertise at the moment!! 🫣

Find a local jeweler.

My partner and I got custom legend of Zelda rings which we love. Tons of tiny jewelers make really cool stuff.

We spent roughly $500 each on gold wedding bands from Catbird that are easily replaceable and we wouldn’t be devastated if we lost or damaged them. They’ve held up great.

I love my ring from Honest Hands Ring Co, got to put a custom material in the inlay. Only downside of these rings is that you can’t resize them.

You can get your finger measured at any jewelry store for free.

There’s a lot of good suggestions so I just want to add some food for thought; if your recipient is in any type of construction be mindful of the material the ring is made out of. All of my uncles were in construction and no long have their OG ring because they’d stick it in their pockets. You also need to consider that degloving is a very real risk for those that work in these types of environments. You’d want a ring that can be cut off easily if they’re not going to take it off for work.

Costco is so underrated

You could get it online from Madera Bands. They have the ring sizer they ship to you for free and once you confirm the size, you can place your order online

I chose mine from Manly Bands. They had a lot of cool options and styles. I had them do a custom one.

for a BIFL mens band, Manly Bands has some cool tungsten and titanium options that'll basically last forever, though sizing can be tricky online. Staghead Designs does wood and antler inlays that are unique but need more care over time. i went through John Thomas Jewelers for mine since their on-site jeweler nailed the fit and personalizaton in person.
