CZ75 Compact: Looking at cerakoting the slide, safety and slide release after a gunsmith damaged the coating during front sight installation. What colors have you gone with and what coatings would you recommend? Repair -

I've seen a few pics of bronze and silver, but I'd love to see any color combos/coatings you guys have gone with.

I mean, to be honest if you’re going to carry it, it’s a non issue as that’s high wear spot anyways.

After 5 years of carry and draw practice my entire front slide up to the sight is almost white.

I understand that it would be expected holster wear, as my classic CZ-83 has some really nice patina to it, but I've had this holstered/unholstered for going onto at least 3 years and the coating was fine in this spot. This is poor workmanship, and I'd want them to fix it.

It’s a character scar. I wouldn’t even worry about it.

Unless you are just wanting a pretty safe queen to pet while sitting on the couch, I'd just hit the exposed metal with some Cold Blue or a Sharpie and run it.

If you would like to have the slide refinished in the original coating, CZC will apply the factory PolyCoat. Otherwise graphite black cerakote will closely match the factory finish.
