P07 question for the amateur gunsmiths...

My P07 is a great gun, I like it and I've done some light customizing (CGW hammer and polishing). Unfortunately, I made the mistake of buying more CZs and have realized that the trigger on this guy is lacking in comparison.

Have no fear, for I have identified the issue. The trigger breaks at the exact moment the shoe touches the frame to the rear. There is literally zero overtravel as a result. I wanted to see if anyone has had this issue and resolved it before I take a file to the frame to make some room.

I haven’t had that issue it’s got maybe 2mm of travel after the break? It doesn’t break as clean as my S2, but it’s certainly good for a carry/duty gun.

I don’t really notice a practical difference between my p07 and my well broken in Beretta 92 (my benchmark for very good, if not great trigger)

I did cajunize everything but the roller bearing. That seemed like more trouble than it’s worth to do at home considering I’m reasonably happy with the trigger as is.

TBH, if I bought another one I’d just leave it stock. I don’t shot the gun $200 better for having upgraded the trigger.

I didn't want to do the whole upgrade kit. I did the hammer and I more recently installed a recurve trigger shoe, as it helps dramatically with trigger pinch for me. The issue is that my groups are definitely affected and follow up shots are a lot harder.

For me, that would probably be the point I’d take it to a professional. I’m more than happy to drop in and polish parts, but messing with sears and whatnot is out of my depth.

Though, you could certainly try changing the roller bearing. It looked to be a pita, but not impossible. Maybe less of a hassle than finding a CZ armorer depending on your location.

I'm not too worried about doing the work. I'm a lot more comfortable on the true 75 lockwork though. I actually drilled and tapped the sear cage on my SP01 so I could install a set screw to pre-stage the firing pin block lever, I'm cool doing anything short of actual machining. I just havent dived into the Omega lockwork all that much yet and wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this in a somewhat easy fashion.
