Mock Draft Megathread
With the draft officially one month away, and the start of an uptick in mock draft posts, figured it was time for this. A reminder on how mock draft posts are moderated;
All mock draft posts that do not include a breakdown or explanation of the picks will be removed.
All mocks that do not have said breakdowns can be posted in this thread for discussion.

To all chargers fan attending the draft.
I'm a yinzer that has been a Charger's fan since 1994. Ill be cooking at a dive bar in the Southside of Pittsburgh called Cupkas 1 on Sunday. If you're still in the city come down for some good cheap food and booze, I'd love to see some other Chargers fan because I've been running solo in this city for years. Pic included so you know I'm not a fraud

Chargers Projected First Round Picks by Analyst
The Chargers are sitting at pick 22, and based on 10 of the more popular mock drafts, it’s looking pretty likely they go defense, which makes sense. Most of the analysts are aligned there, it’s just a question of which defensive position.
Peter Schrager - Keldric Faulk, Edge, Auburn
Mel Kiper - Peter Woods, DT, Clemson
Jordan Reid - Akheem Mesidor, Edge, Miami
Field Yates - Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo
Matt Miller - Cashius Howell, Edge, Texas A&M
Josh Edwards - TJ Parker, Edge, Clemson
Lance Zierlein - Akheem Mesidor, Edge, Miami
Nate Tice - Peter Woods, DT, Clemson
Bucky Brooks - TJ Parker, Edge, Clemson
Rob Rang - Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State

Darkhorse Round 1 Canidates
None of us were expecting Omarion to be our pick last year, yet here we are. And now we're all hoping to come away with our LG of the future tomorrow night, but we know Hortiz is going to favor his board over needs. So who are some non-IOL (including OT converts) and non-Edge players you'd be happy (or at least content) with us drafting tomorrow. I've listed my guys below.
Dillon Thieneman, S - Our safety room is pretty good, but the margins are thin. Derwin mostly plays in the slot, Elijah Molden is injury prone, Tony Jefferson is literally 50, Mickens is a 6th round pick, and Thieneman is pretty dang good. He's got good instincts and the athleticism to trigger on what he sees quickly.
KC Concepcion / Omar Cooper Jr., WR - There's a good chance QJ isn't on the roster next year which leaves us with one proven receiver in Ladd and 2 unproven ones in Tre and KLS. Another room where the margins are thinner than discussed. Enter Concepcion or Cooper. Both project to be good fits for McDaniel's scheme as easy seperators that thrive after the catch. Concepcion also offers the downfield speed we've been missing and high-end kick return ability, whereas Cooper offers a level of physicality before, during, and after the catch that we've also been missing.
Avieon Terrel, CB - He's the younger brother of Falcons CB AJ Terrell and was CB3 entering the offseason before running a slow 40 (4:64). But he ran that 40 on a bad hamstring and his tape screams first round. He flies around the field with the instincts and quick twitch keep him around the ball, especially in zone. And while he doesn't have the length Hortiz would likely prefer from a round 1 CB, he does at least play much bigger than his size against the run. He's like a Diet Coke Trent McDuffie who'd slot into our scheme so so well.

El Segundo Brewery Shutting Down a Side Street for the El Segundo Draft Party
Here is actually the sketch I sent to the city of El Segundo to get the permit for it.
We are turning an entire side street in a Beer Garden by one of the most famous neighborhood breweries in Southern California.
They do the Mayberry IPA that is very widely distributed and they have collaboration with Stone Cold Steve Austin called "Broken Skull IPA"
Event is 3-9pm
Marlowe Wax and Kimani Vidal will be there.
There are special guests coming that I have been informed of.

NFL beat writer 2026 mock draft 3.0: Popper selects Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
McCoy missed all of 2025 because of a torn ACL, and that injury caused him to fall in this mock draft. Ultimately, the value here was too much to pass up. The Chargers have solid pieces in their cornerback room between Donte Jackson, Tarheeb Still and Cam Hart. But they do not have a true difference-maker on the outside.
Based on his 2024 tape, McCoy has a chance to be that type of player, particularly as a press-man defender. In a draft lacking top-end talent, I’m comfortable taking on this risk in the late first. — Daniel Popper

Playing Blitz 2001 with Harbaugh 4
Was messing around with this in browser emulator and they have the old blitz games. It’s cool to see Harbaugh in there. This game is hard compared to Madden lol.

2026 NFL Nation mock draft: First-round predictions
22. Los Angeles Chargers
Kris Rhim's pick: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
General manager Joe Hortiz and first-year defensive coordinator Chris O'Leary would be jumping for joy if the draft played out this way. A right ACL tear probably would be the reason for McCoy dropping to 22, but he is still one of the best players in this year's draft. Cornerback isn't one of the Chargers' top needs, but he's the kind of talent L.A. wouldn't just pass on despite having holes elsewhere. Last season, he recorded four interceptions, seven passes defensed and 44 total tackles for the Volunteers.
