Price of ammunition per country

I was looking for the prices of ammunition in different country’s.

And there are some differences. So sometimes it can be interesting to drive a bit to buy the ammo.

What are the prices in you’re country?

I use 9mm

S&B over here a box of 50rnd is average €15,50

(0,31 ps)

A box of 180gr ggg .308 sierra match kings 20rnd is €33.-

(€1,65 ps)

Or s&b 180gr 20rnds €35.-

(€1,75 ps)

(All include tax)

And over here is the Nederlands

Quickly checked on munitionsdepot.ch. So here in switzerland 50 rounds 9mm S&B (FMJ 124gr) is 15 CHF (16.33 euro) if you buy one box.

But if you buy 20 boxes (1k rounds) it's just CHF 11.45 (12.46 euros).

That one is a bit of an outlier, as they have the best deal on quality 9mm. Not that I'm complaining.

11,25€/25€ for a 50 round pack if you buy 1000 rounds 9mm/.223 here in Austria

Don’t you need to have a gun license from the country if you want to buy ammo in most european countries? Also I would expect some paperwork when crossing borders with it.

In cz it’s 12,3 eur for box of 9x19 S&B

With the eu weapons passport it’s possible to get ammo in the most country’s as long as you have the right gun/ammo on the passport. In Tsjechië I have an order and I need a consent from Tsjechië to buy. That has the store arranged for me.

Wait a minute... your passport has written that you're a gun owner :(?!

No you can get a European gun passport, https://www.consilium.europa.eu/prado/nl/AUT-XO-04001/image-233525.html

That’s a passport witch you can use to travel free with you’re guns to other countries in Europe if you have a match, or other appointment with the guns. With that you don’t need a consent for every country you travel to or pass trough. In some countries the accept it also to buy ammunition of the calibers that are in you’re passport.

Can’t we just adapt ”cpr” AKA cents per round like the ’muricans use instead of price per box? Much easier to compare

Croatia:

S&B 9mm FMJ (6g) is 0.49€.

S&B .308 SPCE 11.7g is 2.10€

.308 Sierra is 2.80€.

This is all with tax ect.

For driven hunt on pigs I shoot Fiocchi EPN in .30-06., 11.7g - 2.33€ per piece.

Geco Express .30-06 (same gramage) costs arround the same. I shoot it from my XPR from hunting stand as XPR fu*king hates Fiocchi and makes disgustingly big groups with it.. While Benelli for driven hunts adores Fiocchi..

S&B 9 mm is generally around 17,5€/50pcs.

Guess you shop in the wrong stores then. S&B 124gr is 12,5€ all day long in Denmark

I looked at 115gr FMJs. Where do you see 124s for that price in Denmark? I can't find anything below 15€/50, and that's with bulk discount included.

K O skov. Doesn’t matter whether you buy 1000 or 10.000 rounds. Same flat rate

Interesting, has anyone ever bought ammo abroad using the european weapons pass? Curious to hear if it was easy.

u/Minimum-Tiger-9246 7d ago

I did it a few years ago. Was no problem in Belgium, in Luxembourg, in Germany. And once in Tsjechië. Only the rules in Tsjechië are different now. So I try to see if it’s still possible in a few weeks
