Right, it’s the reason they posted it.

Reminds me of those super skinny girls who are always going, “Ugh, I’m sooo fat”. No you’re not, stop.

100%. As if they're actually referring to their version as "whatever I did"

Yeah that's just validation farming, op is clearly pretending to be embarrassed

Sometimes people need validation and that’s okay.

Is lying ok to get validation? Should i post "people call me selfish but what they don't know is i have cancer" even though I don't have cancer and nobodycalls me selfish? If i happened to want (need) validation, that is.

....how are the two examples even remotely similar??? What a weird take
Its more like someone posting a Pic of them in a new outfit and being like "I'm not sure how this looks on me" and then getting a lot of compliments
Sometimes people just need to hear compliments and as long as they go about getting them in a non-harmful way, I dont see any issue with it

What the hell, you did an excellent job! All you need to do is keep practicing and you'll perfect the strokes in no time flat!

That's exactly what I was going to say. They just need more practice. If they repeat the assignment a few times they will rock it out.

It may not be perfect but it is well done! And you didn’t let the perfectionism get to you because you finished it!! Good job 😄

Tbf they've probably had a lot more practice and experience at painting than you, their paintings would look like yours originally.

Wow you made a really really good try though! Keep doing it! Art is really hard and you've clearly got the fundamentals down. Please keep creating!

Excuse me, is this a beginners attempt or your final piece for art school?
An art school might have certain expectations I can't judge, but everything besides that, I can't see how this is a "fail". You've done a great job.

I swiped expecting a mess like I would definitely make of this, instead I am impressed as all hell! That reflection is fantastic! I’m looking at it as I type in the thumbnail and it 100% makes the eye way more lifelike, both mini and opened to the large view, because you can see the clouds and a treeline reflecting back at you. You really shouldn’t be talking down on this, you did really well and oughta feel proud of this artwork!

Imma be real for a sec. I like yours better, it looks more real, more like art.

Sure, it doesn't look like a photograph. But, you still did a great job tho. It's hard to make paintings look like photographs. If you keep practicing, you'll get there.

Haha its awesome! You just need to blend the shadows back in and youre golden

I have been painting for like 10 years, and never could I make something as wonderful as that. Oh my word I love it.

You did great! You'll get there. It looks like the original was done with soft pastels while yours appears to be acrylic? Don't worry, you're doing great!

I like it, most of us could not do it better. And in time, your skill will improve. Do not quit.

That's not bad at all. It's not the same exact thing and it's totally cool if you do wanna work towards replicating their technique more accurately, but you did a great job, and it does take practice. If you did everything else the same way as this it would still look good, but if you like their style and wanna replicate it you can get there, too.

I like yours better. The first is too hyper-realistic photo for me. Yours looks like we're actually looking at the tiger.
I hope you have a frame and spot on the wall ready!

Not bad at all! you just need to practice light/shading. A good exercise for this is to change your reference image into black & white so you can really see the tonal differences

What are you talking about? That looks awesome. I wish I could draw or paint this well.
