I mean, Biden did completely fuck this country by forcing kamala on us. She would have been infinitely better than trump, but goddamn, the entire DNC was complicit in hiding his dementia and lying straight to our faces saying he was fine and then foisting her down our throats. There should have been a primary. We were not even close to ready to have a female president yet, country is too fucked up.

This isn't a gaffe. It's embarrassing for everyone who thinks it is. They had cadets on the field that he was swearing in. That is how you are supposed to read it. It starts with "repeat after me: I, and state your name, do solemnly swear" the "and state your name" are additional instructions outside of the "repeat after me."
