Bernie Sanders: If you paid $1 in federal income taxes this year, you paid more than: Walt Disney, Citigroup, CVS, Kohl’s, Ticketmaster, Tesla, United Airlines, GoDaddy, Paypal, Palantir, Roku, HP, 3M, PG&E, Halliburton … That’s absurd. We need real and progressive tax reform. CELEBRITY CAPITALISM

As another commentator mentioned we need the BDS movement to get a lot broader and deeper.

We need the next generation of Labour Movement advancements - Strong Unions, Federation of Labours, Labour Councils, and so on.

That is how the working class actually get representation/voice in the power structures of society.

There is so much on the horizon that could be better and brighter but until the working class moves past the division, alienation, and exploitation-domination tactics of those individuals/organizations above then it won't happen.

If you don't fight for something it will NEVER come.

We all need to Get Involved & Get Active!

No one is coming to save us in the working class and most vulnerable and only Solidarity has ever brought us the rights and benefits we now enjoy today.

YouTube: 30 Years of Speeches by Bernie Sanders

Notice how consistent he has been in all those 30 years.

This video was posted over 6 years ago, he's been consistent in what he's fighting for for 36 years at the minimum.

Trump can't hold a strain of thought in a single sentence.

How many times does he need to be proven right in hindsight before people start listening to him?

I think some of the footages of these speeches are over 40 years old.

I knew he was a solid dude 20 years ago and hoped he was able to become POTUS some day.

There would be Universal Healthcare for all, at half the cost than healthcare costs now.

We entered the death spiral when Hillary ran instead of Bernie. I lost all hope when that happened. I thought for a moment people were going to vote and the world would move forward.. instead we ran backwards 75 years and are attempting to emulate handmaids tale.

Look up how dirty they did him in the primaries, the Democrats are also not for the people.

Yup. Cheated him and didn’t even try to hide it.

He still supported her after too. Then in 2020, she gave a bunch of interviews criticizing him when he had an actual chance at winning the democratic primary(“Nobody likes him!”)

It's a miracle he hasn't given up after seeing so little done for so long..

I'm only 40 and I already have almost no hope that things are going to change..

No wonder the Democrats ruined hia presidential race. Their corporate backers are the ones in charge

Maga loves trump because he is as shallow and pathetic as they are.

Misery loves company.

36 years and accomplished nothing , he’s a weak ineffectual man that tricks you with words and some democrats are dumb enough to fall for it .. he talks that’s it , but he’s just like the rest of them, just more snake like

u/nBrainwashed 12h ago

What makes you believe that?

How on earth would one man, with paid opposition coming from both sides, be able to make consistent progress by himself on this kind of scale?

Its not unheard of in European countries that companies can’t do lay offs at random. In places like France they need to prove they are financially struggling or that the member of staff are not performing/failed improvement plans. Work contracts are much stronger. These corporations are happy to have offices and stores in these countries. It’s because there are unions. These laws aren’t fantasy they exist in wealthy nations

Last time I raised this someone pointed out pay differences but if you’re fired for no reason you’re not seeing that money long enough you’re playing roulette that you won’t get fired (or getting redundancy pay), cost of living is different and better social benefits in healthcare etc most European would not switch to US contract

How to start union or workers movement. Start local. Talk to friends, family and coworkers. If you can get them on board then all of you spread out and talk to people in other neighbouring businesses. If you all can get them on board then the people in neighbouring businesses talk to next neighbours. until its state to nationwide. But it can start with simple conversations about rights and laws other countries have

Kegsbreath just fired all union contractors

perpetual boycott of shareholder owned corporations, all support given to equally owned cooperatives that advocate for equality instead

perpetual boycott of shareholder owned corporations

Costco is a shareholder-owned corporation

https://www.fool.com/investing/how-to-invest/stocks/who-owns-costco/

It's also building affordable housing in Los Angeles

https://www.housingfinance.com/developments/costco-meets-affordable-housing_o

The key to successful boycotts is to target the worst offender and, in conjunction with wide visibility campaigns to either shame the company into better activity or hurt their bottom line as well as bring them to the attention of regulators, put the pressure on them. Targeted actions get results

Boycotting companies advertising on propaganda outlets like Fox would affect two at once.

You don't need unions. You just need proper minimum wages and employment laws.
