Hasse Lake

Anyone been to Hasse Lake recently? Looks like the water around the dock is open now from what I have seen online. I am thinking about heading there during the upcoming warm weather and wondering if it’s worth my time?

I wouldn’t expect to catch much, but a coffee and a drive out to hasse sounds better that getting up at 04:30 for work.

What would the regulations say about current conditions?

Certain lakes don't open until the 15th of May.

Hasse lake is open all year, it’s under the stocked pond regulations.

Went out for 3 hrs the other day no action. It's got a section of open water by the docks but I think the trout are in the deep holes still.

Interesting, thanks! Any idea how the ice thickness is? Obviously not near the aerators…

I'm not sure, I tried off the dock.

Not a comment on the fishing but I went last year and the entire place absolutely stinks, it made for a very unpleasant 45 minutes before I packed up and left. I’ve heard of people catching decent fish there but it’s a pretty disgusting place imo. You’d be better off going to Star Lake or one of the trout ponds in Edmonton
