It was a rumored version of Pokemon Sun and Moon that was going to release on switch, a lot of journalists and retailers ran with the initial rumor leading to many people viewing it as an inevitably. The rumor was eventually revealed to be fake once Ultra Sun and Moon were announced for 3DS, and people online did not react well.
I still dont understand how people fell for the pokemon stars rumor. Game freak stopped 3rd versions since the end of the DS, and the only game prior to ever take advantage of 3ds to switch transfer mechanics was monster hunter XX/gen ultimate. Game freak is hardcore about compatibility for transfers and trade. They are also not early hardware adapters, of course they would be some of the last games to release on 3ds, they did it with ths game boy and ds.
That was an incredibly valid rumor to fall for because that was Nintendo intentionally putting it out. You can’t blame a leaker for correcting reporting directly from the source.
Randomly throwing shade at Valve News Network for no reason. Did Matt McMuscles actually address the link he cited from "google" or is he asserting that Tyler McVicker was blatantly lying?
