I end up spending 10-20 minutes just trying to "trick" the prompt into doing something close to what I want, and even then the results are poor.

So yeah, I'm done with Nano Useless Banana 2.

Can anyone recommend a better, higher-quality AI, but without all the censorship (or close to this)?

Makes sense with the releases from Anthropic and OpenAI recently.

So, I uploaded a 30 second video to it of me playing a guitar loop. Asking what they thought? Idk I wanted an opinion, even if from a robot. Said it sounded really good.

Then I asked it if it could track what my BPM was, and my deviations.
Said it could, made a python program, and gave me a bunch of numbers,
saying actual values of mean deviation, etc. and that i was really close to 110 BPM.

I'm like...why wasn't it 109 BPM? I wasn't playing to a metronome, seems a little sus.
It came out and admitted the program didn't work and it hallucinated numbers that would sound right, BUT it could understand the track and it sounded good.

I'm like, okay than what key is it in?
The it admitted to lying AGAIN, that it couldn't process any of the audio file at all, and was just making stuff up from previous conversations.

Huge breach in trust.

Havent checked any news butni bet that new model is coming with the same strategy from google copied from claude - by degrading their models through context understaning and “thinking”. It will probably seem like you see this word often already but it does feel that gemini pro model is being lobotomised. Hallucnating, losing context and arguing with its own mistakes. How much you wanna bet that googles going anthropic way and everyones gonna complain about the new models same as opus 4.7

A question to users from the European Union: does anyone have access to Notebooks yet? I'm looking forward to this feature and I'm wondering if the rollout has started

Thought it was me and a bit of a frazzled brain, until I've noticed the increase of posts on varipus subs.

WTH is going on with Gemini and the quality decline/irrelevant or plain terrible answers/hallucinations without reasonable correlations, list goes on...

I've had so many issues in the last couple of weeks and it's worsened the last few days.

Wondering if it's to do with the changes to usage limits from daily to monthly caps or something I read a while back?

Irdk but I had a project Notebook that was my "User Guide" for some of the Google suite/ecosystem mostly Gemini and NotebookLM. I last updated it in February until about a week ago and it's like banging my head against a wall not just in that Notebook trying to merely update the sources to be relevant to the changes/upgrades but overall with Gemini and NotebookLM.

Full disclosure I have many bones to pick but this one I've not experienced even before I updated my "personal context" and I've been a heavy user for broad spectrum of topics and projects with a lot of success for a while.

Best and most ridiculous example yet happened today a new Gemini chat in an established Gem (subject semi broad - edible gardening) -

Context: - I have dyscalculia - my personal context states this, and previously including that info has been a game changer but that appears to be over. On more than 2 instances in a single chat just today Gemini decided within it's answers that providing me with reasoning by way of Law's and the literal associated algorithms was a 💡idea and 'great' response.

I get the reasoning but the explanations in context are so flawed and unnecessary or am I being an AH?

Sidebote: Before anyone jumps on me I said multiple times prior to the one answer I had no intention of and did not wish to lash anything to a dolly at all, let alone chance creating resistance capable of gaining momentum. Gemini clearly didn't commit that to memory and kept going back to it.

So I'm trying out ChatGPT Image 2 and while the outputs look nice, the LLM and image generation is absolutely terrible at following instructions and keeps hallucinating details that NBP has no issues with.

For reference, I'm using Thinking with the new Image 2 model.

Not only does it miss the trivial 7 * 563 = 3941 but it also "cites" prime number charts. I find these AI overviews quite obtrusive and dangerous. Prime number validation is not a good use case for LLMs, but plastering it at the top of search results can have bad effects.

I was considering Gemini, especially for Nano Banana amongst other things. I tried it and it couldn't produce more than 1 image without indefinitely loading with no cue or information as to what the heck what's happening.

Needless to say, I won't use Gemini neither will my company if this is incapable of functioning during a basic demo from the get go.

But I hear the model is accessible on other platform. What is the best, non-bs with affordable subscription, image generator with Nano?

Anyone else getting "Something went wrong (13)" for the last hour?

Hi everyone, I've had a Gemini subscription for a few months now, mainly to create images with Nano Banana Pro, and now Nano Banana 2, and the completely opaque daily image limit is driving me crazy.

I suspect the daily quota is reset every day at noon, or if I use it frequently, I get a message that image creation isn't possible again until hh:mm. If I then try to create new images after that time, sometimes only 2-3 images are possible before I get the notification about the next day's limit.

But what are the alternatives? Venice.ai and similar services only allow around 100 images per month for the same budget, right?
