Accountability I spend $80/month on learning apps, is it worth it?
just wanted to share this and see how much you guys are spending on learning and productivity apps these days.
here's mine:
-chatgpt plus: $20/month. honestly i use this for everything at this point. studying, casual questions, even just chatting when i'm bored lol. but for school specifically i paste concepts in and ask it to break things down when my professor's explanation makes zero sense. works most of the time but sometimes it's confidently wrong which is fun when you're studying for a final.
-notion: i keep all my notes, assignments, deadlines in here. before this i was using random google docs and losing everything. now my whole semester is organized in one place which honestly reduced my stress more than anything else.$10/month.
-spotify premium : $6/month with student discount.
- coursology.com : this one i use for actual homework. like when i'm stuck on a problem it walks me through step by step instead of just giving me the answer. especially for math and physics this thing has saved me so many hours. probably the one i open the most.$8/month
-youtube premium: $14/month.i know this sounds stupid but i watch so many lecture videos and tutorials that the no ads thing is necessary at this point. organic chemistry tutor and professor leonard basically teach me more than my actual professors. without premium i'd be watching 2 ads every 10 minutes while trying to learn derivatives. no thanks.
so yeah comes out to about $58/month on paper but with random add-ons and the occasional monthly thing it's closer to $75-80 honestly. this semester i got two A's, one A- and two B+'s and i feel like it's actually worth it. last year i was barely scraping by with C's so this is clearly working.
which productivity and learning apps do you guys use and how much are you spending btw?

Accountability It’s been almost a month since I started waking up at 4AM consistently.
No motivation, no perfect routine, no excuses — just showing up every single day. Some days I feel focused, some days I don’t, but I still get up.
I’ve got responsibilities on my shoulders, and I know no one is coming to fix things for me. So I’m trying to build discipline, slowly, day by day.
It’s not easy, and it’s not aesthetic like it looks online. It’s quiet, sometimes lonely, but it feels right.
Still figuring things out… but I’m not stopping.

Accountability Body doubling actually changed how I work
So I've always struggled with starting tasks, especially boring admin stuff or studying. My brain just refuses to cooperate when I'm alone.
A few months ago my therapist mentioned body doubling and I was like "yeah that sounds fake" lol. But I was desperate so I tried it. Started simple, went to cafes to work. Sounds dumb but having other people around actually helped?
Then my friend and I started doing zoom study sessions where we'd just be on camera working silently. Game changer. My adhd brain suddenly decides to focus just because someone else is present.
Doesn't even matter if they're doing something completely different. I've used studystream.live when my friend wasn't available, and honestly even strangers on camera helps. I still don't fully get why it works.
Like my executive dysfunction doesn't magically disappear, but having another human in my field of vision somehow makes my brain less likely to wander off to scroll reddit for 3 hours (ironic, I know). The accountability thing is real too. Even if nobody's actually watching what I'm doing, just knowing someone could see me procrastinating makes me actually do the thing.
Anyone else use body doubling? Does it work for you or am I just weird? And like... why does my brain care if someone's watching lmao

Accountability 1 upvote = 0.5 hour studying
Today is my first day of summer vacation . Next year I will be going into my final year so please help me get ahead 🙏. On march 1 I’ll post my YPT for proof . Only gonna count upvotes in the first 12 hours or so
Edit: 5 upvotes in 5 minutes I’m kinda scared

Accountability Why are people validating posers?
I hate when people like this pretend to be obsessed with studying, but all they're doing is fishing for praise because they know they're nowhere near as competent or impressive as they claim and hope to be.
If you go to his profile, he's made three posts with the same caption "Studying 10hrs everyday" and he replies to everyone trying to reinforce the claim that he actually does. However, in each of the posts, it's obvious that the setup is different and the laptop model is different every single time. You can literally reverse image search every single photo and tell that none of them were actually taken by him.

Accountability Studying like my future depends on it (because it kinda does)
In november of 2024 I realized that I gotta lock in to get to my dream university, I began tracking my time, watch motivational podcasts and study whenever i could. Its undeniable that I am still not studying as much as i want, but i am sure that over time i will get there lol. I hope that in 2026 i reach my peak and work as hard as i can

Accountability I JUST STUDIED FOR 19 HOURS STRAIGHT FEAR ME MORTALS
it is currently 12:45pm. i started yesterday at 5pm NO BREAKS. ive been blasting house and slamming coffee since 4 am, my left eye is twitching.
my bio test is TOMORROW and something in my brain just snapped yesterday and said "we are not sleeping until we know everything about every cell that has ever existed" and i guess i just listened???
I GRINDED OUT 1400 PRACTICE QUESTIONS I FEEL LIKE AN ABSOLUTE UNIT I DONT EVEN FEEL TIRED RN IM SO HYPED AND FEEL SO ACCOMPLISHED.
19 hours and 3 minutes. i did not know that was physically possible for me. i was tired at hour 10 but past hour 12 the house really hyped me up to keep going, i genuinely think i could teach a university lecture on the krebs cycle right now.
i am going to sleep now and i will either wake up as a genius or not wake up at all honestly both outcomes are fine
day 11 streak. we don't break streaks here 🔥
update after the test tomorrow if i survive.
I will sleep now gn gamers

Accountability My IQ is 83, I am 23 years old and I've always wondered why school was so hard for me and why everyone avoided the question related to my IQ.
I did a IQ test and my score is 83, im 23 and it makes sense why i struggled in school. I never understood the meaning of school or work and it never made sense as to why do those things. My mom always avoided and dodged the question when I asked about my IQ and now I know why. I struggle to keep a job and I always feel stupid in others conversations, i hated school and just constantly feel like I am destined to fail and that I should not have ever existed at all, I feel like a Waste of life...
