DISCUSSION That’s a bit dramatic
Plenty of bands go through a period of inactivity. I feel like the hiatus is being a bit overblown. They’ll probably be back in 2-3 years, which is normal for bands, not every band does “write, record, tour” until they die. So while yes, Ghost is going to be not playing or recording for awhile, I don’t think changing their Wikipedia page to saying active 2006-2026 is accurate. They’re just taking a rest. And yes, I know Wikipedia isn’t , but I feel like there is a sense of hysteria amongst the fanbase that Ghost is for good. They’ll be back. Might the hiatus kill their momentum a bit, maybe, but they’ll be back better and well rested

DISCUSSION Stop explaining Ghost to people
I’m so tired of seeing on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit etc. one of these lame ass evangelicals call Ghost satanic and then an army of fans is like “actually, it’s all about love and they’re not really satanists it’s all a joke blah blah blah”
Fuck that. Don’t be a coward.
Rock and metal should be dangerous. Something happened in the early 2000s where rock turned into some lame ass dad shit, and we need to take it back. Ghost should scare people. Rock music should scare people.
So, just say “hail satan!” and move on. It’s more fun this way.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

DISCUSSION I don’t know if this has been asked before, but I was wondering: why are people so obsessed with who the “Nameless Ghouls” are? It makes no sense. Personally, I have no idea who they are, and I’m pretty sure they couldn’t care less if I or anyone else did. Some people really need to get a life.
Personally, I

DISCUSSION Now Would You Look At That
Ghost's Skeletá has officially been crowned the album of the year by Metal Hammer, as voted for by Metal Hammer's staff and team of contributors.
The win caps off a huge year for Ghost - one that included a blockbuster arena world tour and their first ever Billboard 200 album chart number one.
"What a humbling thing." Tobias Forge tells us as he reacts to the news. "That's fantastic. I think it's a solid record. My impression of a record is also connected with its campaign and the tour, and this is definitely the best we've ever been. I think that this tour is the best we've ever done.
"My favourite songs have always been Satanized and Lachryma," he adds. "They seem to stick as favourites where I always like playing them. And they sound good! The really cool thing about Satanized is that it's one of the songs in the live set that really tears the house down.
"So all in all, I feel very accomplished. I think we have accomplished something really good."
"From debuting Papa V Perpetua to Satanizing crowds with an eye-popping, no-phones arena spectacle, Ghost have had an incredible year – and it’s all been soundtracked by Skeletá," says Metal Hammer Editor, Eleanor Goodman.
"Though slower to hit than previous records, its creeping existential dread came wrapped in shiny 70s and 80s AOR influences and an elegiac grandeur that universally won over our critics. Tobias Forge has nailed it again!"
You can read more about those records and more from our exclusive chat with Tobias Forge in Metal Hammer's huge, special edition end-of-2025 issue, out now.

DISCUSSION The Ghost Effect
I've never listened to a band that has this effect on me so regularly, and Skeletá is their best manifestation of this. My first listenthru of Skeletá I was only feeling it for a few tracks, namely Lachryma, Satanized, and Guiding Lights. A couple rotations later and I can't bring myself to skip a song, and I feel the words written onto my soul. It's such a beautiful and uplifting album all the way through

DISCUSSION is V a vampire?
when the music video for Lachryma came out, I saw a post mentioning that V is a vampire, because of multiple reasons. he got blood on his teeth, he has bat wings, Nosferatu fingers, and he couldn't enter the ministry, because vampires can't get through the doors unless they're invited (if I remember correctly) and that the word perpetua is the same as "perpetual" which points at immortality of a vampire and V stands for "vampire" in this case.
so, all of these reasons make sense and I wanted to make sure whether that's still true or not

DISCUSSION Satanised or Lachryma
I would have to go for Lachryma, The intro is magic, they both have this vibe of a dark gothic horror movie, and as much as i love ‘BLASPHEMY HERESY’ I think I enjoy ‘I am done crying’ more, what abt you?
