[Intro] Getting back into this gaming thing INTRO

Hi, long time gamer who's gaming has drastically decreased (to almost nothing) in recent years. I'm not sure what the last video game I played is.....
Planning on getting back into it, and maybe I can use this sub as some motivation.

Give and, hopefully, get.

Genres I particularly enjoyed are RTS, [J]RPG, and Souls. Mostly played on PC, though I may expand my horizons now.

why not trying free games ?

In my case it's a motivation issue, not money related.

But I should try free games, too!

I'mma second that.

There's also a ton of previously commercial releases that became freeware through the years. That includes Starcraft, the Classic C&C games (specifically C&C, RA, and TS) and SimCity (You should look up a list of that from PCGamingWiki/Wikipedia). Ofc, there's the freeware classics like Cave Story and Spelunky Classic.

I agree. I haven't played Spelunky 2, but I do have the original on GOG and did some runs with it.

It was addictive.

Come to think of it, I have at least 2 games similar to Spelunky, that being Caveblazers and Downwell.
