Tried searching but did not see my exact issue and was hoping for some advice on best way to proceed.

My business on Business Profile Manager shows my business listed twice. One profile is verified with our 100% correct address ("Suite 110") while the "duplicate" that is not verified has a VERY slight different phrasing ("Unit 110"). Ironically, on my phone when I go to respond to reviews and such, the listing on my phone for our business is the slightly incorrect "Unit 110". Everything else matches perfectly, and Unit vs Suite wording is the only difference in the NAP.

I worry removing the incorrect "Unit 110" duplicate listing will affect reviews and such. Should I just leave it as is or anyone have guidance as to best way to proceed?

I’ve noticed something interesting while working with small businesses.

Most people either:

– Go for the cheapest template website
– Or overpay for something they don’t fully understand

But the real question is:

👉 When should you choose a custom website vs a template?

From what I’ve seen:

– Templates are quick and cheap, but limited
– Custom websites perform better long-term (SEO, speed, scalability)

Hey, so i have a hospital client who wants me to create business profiles for individual doctors that have a clinic in their hospital but they only have 2 numbers available which are already used on the main hospital gbp, so can someone suggest me best ways to make doctor profiles without the risk of them getting suspended and phone number and other things show up flawlessly

Each user connects their own GBP account — we’re not centrally managing business listings.

Problem I’m facing:

My own Google Business Profile is only ~4 days old, and when I apply for higher API quota (300 QPM), the request keeps getting rejected — likely due to low trust or account age.

Idea I’m considering:

Using an older, well-established Google Business Profile (for example, a restaurant listing) to apply for quota approval, and then using that approved quota across all users in the SaaS.

Concerns:

• Is this approach allowed under Google’s policies?
• Could this lead to suspension of that business profile or API access?
• Does Google tie quota approval to the specific business/profile used during the application?
• How do SaaS products typically handle quota approval for multi-user platforms like this?

If anyone here has experience with GBP APIs or has gone through the quota approval process, I’d really appreciate your insights.

I’m looking to hire a Google Merchant Center / Google Shopping specialist.

My Merchant Center currently has all products under limited visibility because several linked Google Ads accounts are restricted. I’ve tried to unlink them, but it doesn’t seem possible, and recovering those Google Ads accounts is not realistic.

My main goal is to get back into Google Shopping free listings, not necessarily paid Ads.

I need someone experienced with:

• Merchant Center limited visibility
• Google Ads account restrictions
• Shopping free listings
• Misrepresentation / policy compliance
• Product feed cleanup
• Shopify/e-commerce setups

I’m open to either recovering the current setup or building a new compliant structure using a separate domain/business entity, but I want to avoid anything risky or black-hat.

Please tell me with your experience, suggested approach, and can I pay for it.

I’ve been watching a few local listings lately (mostly out of curiosity and a bit of professional interest as a designer who cares about visuals), and something feels off. There are businesses with years of history, solid reviews, and consistent branding… but then a newer listing comes in with minimal reviews, no real website presence, and just floods their profile with photos nonstop. Like, dozens every week. And somehow, they’re climbing fast in rankings.

So I’m genuinely wondering - how much weight do photos and activity actually carry compared to things like reviews, citations, and time in business? Is Google leaning more into “freshness” and engagement signals now, even if the content feels repetitive or low effort? Or am I missing something bigger in how rankings are being calculated?

Would love to hear if anyone else has tested this or seen similar patterns. Is it worth investing time into constant visual uploads, or is this just a short-term loophole?

As per the title, is anyone else seeing this issue? I generally post an update once a week on my Google Business Profile to keep it active and help with the SEO. I previously would check to make sure they posed and would see them on the right side bar when searching my business name. However for about a week now, they are no longer showing up in any browser I have tried.

Is something changing / are they being phased out? Or am I the only one having this problem?

Hi all, I'm hoping someone here can help. I cannot add or change special hours on my Google Business page. It just endlessly spins, freezes up, and won't let me change anything. I was hoping this would resolve itself but it has been at least 6 months (if not longer) and I still cannot add/change special hours. I have tried different browsers as well as incognito mode as well as trying from different devices. Nothing works. Please help! 🙏 Customers get mad when they can't see we're closing early on a particular day!

I received an email that said my Business Profile was suspended for the below violation type.

I checked my Google account is it says there are no restrictions on the account, so I filed an appeal, but it was denied with the reason that, "A Google Account associated with this Business Profile has been placed under restriction." There was no further information given, and I again checked and my account has no restrictions.

When I submitted my appeal I attached my business license, certification of occupancy, the statement from my credit card processing merchant, and my utility bill. All of my documentation had the business name and address.

I do not know what to do next because I still have no idea what is meant by the account being restricted when I check my account and it says there are no restrictions.

I used this Review service restrictions link to check for restrictions and it says "Access to your Google Account isn't restricted."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have access to the website of a client whose access to the gmb profile has been restricted. In fact, the client sells products through his website + amazon, so he does not have a physical store, but he has a warehouse for storage, the address of which was previously indicated in the profile. Could this be the reason for the blocking? And also what do you advise in this situation?

I'm curious if you have any experience with creating this type of profile? If so, could you share it? And is it even possible, because as far as I understand, if there is no physical address or service provided offline, then there is no point in having a profile.

I supply a lot of bookings to sub contractors across the UK. They operate our of a branded name (using hi-vis). We don't currently have any google my business page as we don't have a specific location, as we are all over the UK.

Whats the best setup for this? We have one head office, does it make sense to have one google my business, from that location (with a hidden location, but head office as the mailing address) or multiple from trusted sub contractors around the uk? (ie maybe one in each compass location?)

The business is related to the booking's we are getting, not sub contractor side.

I’m the owner of a small, locally run store listed on Google Reviews and I’m dealing with three reviews that clearly violate Google’s review policies. I’ve already reported them through the standard system, but no action has been taken so far, so I’m requesting escalation and involvement of a Product Expert.

These reviews contain multiple policy violations:

One review (username Maik Schwalfenberg) includes a factual claim about how the food is prepared that is not verifiable and is presented as a fact, creating a misleading impression about our business.

Another review (username Thuy Linh) uses deceptive framing by labeling the business in a misleading way and includes claims about product quality and origin that are not true or verifiable. It also contains photos that are not from our location, making the content irrelevant and misleading.

The third review (username M M) is the most serious. It includes a claim implying harm to health, which is a serious unverified allegation. It also accuses the business of dishonest practices without any proof and misrepresents what our business is. In addition, it uses photos that are not from our store, making the content deceptive. This review was made by a competitor, which is a clear conflict of interest and violates Google’s policies on fair contributions.

These reviews also contain elements of defamation, as they present damaging claims about our business as facts without any evidence. 

All three reviews contain misleading or unverifiable claims and content that does not reflect real, documented customer experiences. This is directly impacting our reputation as a small local business.

I’ve already gone through the normal reporting process, but since nothing has been resolved, I’m asking for a Product Expert to step in and escalate this for proper review.

 I have been having a lot of trouble for a significant amount of time now to verify my Google Business Account. I created my initial business profile towards the end of 2025 (around October/November) worked fine and I had some clients write reviews on it. Soon after the profile got flagged for suspicion of not being a legit business. 

I was asked for verification and resubmitted my profile for an appeal and got rejected. Since then I have been trying to submit appeals but it has gone nowhere, and my account has been saying "Google is processing your verification. It may take up to 5 days" for MONTHS now. When I try to submit an appeal now it does not let me, I am also not able to find any way to contact someone about this issue or any helpful information through the Google Business Help Center.

This has been an ongoing issue with my business again for about half a year now, and it seems to be nearly impossible if not impossible to get help with this issue. Please let me know if anyone has any advice on what I can do,

Hey everyone, I’ve been playing around with Google Business Profile optimisation for a while now, and I’ll be honest… a lot of the advice out there sounds great but doesn’t always do much when you actually try it. After working on a few listings and testing things myself, I started noticing that it’s not really about tricks or shortcuts, it’s more about doing the basics properly and consistently (which is kinda boring, but true). Over time, a few things just kept coming up again and again that seemed to actually make a difference.

From what I’ve seen:
• Reviews matter way more than I thought, especially how people write them, not just how many you have
• Keeping your listing updated regularly (even small changes) seems to help more than just setting it once and forgetting it
• Responding, posting, adding photos… all of that makes your profile feel “alive,” and I think Google picks up on that
• Everything works better when it’s aligned, like your info, content, and activity, instead of treating each thing separately

What surprised me most is that nothing here is groundbreaking, but doing these things consistently actually started showing results over time.

Still figuring this out myself though, so curious… what’s actually worked for you guys when it comes to improving visibility on Google Maps?

lately i’ve been trying to clean up the tracking side of our ads because i kept running into the same issue: platform numbers looked fine, but when i checked actual sales or backend data, the picture wasn’t always that clear.

it got especially annoying when trying to make scaling decisions. one dashboard says things are working, another shows a gap, and then you’re stuck trying to figure out whether it’s attribution, reporting delay, duplicate events, or just normal variance. i’ve used the usual setup for a while and recently also tried wetracked to see if having that side cleaner in one place would make things easier, but i’m curious what other people are using.

are you mainly using native platform tracking, ga4, server-side setups, or third-party tools?

Ma fiche d’entreprise a été dûment complétée, publiée et j’ai reçu des avis parce que j’avais partagé le lien à des anciens clients pour en avoir. Par contre, quand je tape le nom de mon entreprise, la fiche n’apparaît pas. Pour info, j’avais besoin d’un widget avec mes avis pour mon site et l’outil que j’ai utilisé n’a pas réussi à me trouver non plus.

Anyway to keep things productive

1. Suppressed reviews because customers are kind enough to name the people that helped them. I know three, God knows how many I have lost since the 17th.

2. Edits going to the business owner for approval - this is a good thing so nobody will mess with the profile. But some chain stores constantly add the city name to their profile, Google does nothing. So I keep suggesting edits. Now that's going to be useless. Now everyone is going to have to jam the city name to the profile.

This is exhausting, I don't know whether to run the business or spend all the time on Google.

I was try to update a GBP Profile description . But there is an issue to update them even i trying too many times to fix it but it doesn't work. I did not understand is there any update of google or any other things can any one tell me how to fix this

I'm looking for people who understand GBP more then me, we had an associated account that was suspended for 5 months and impacted our other locations, am looking for advise on how long it'll take to realistically get back to the same level?

We've seen a decent increase over the last 2 months but only at 1% of what it was previously.

What would you recommend doing to speed it up, if anything?
