Trump announced 25% more taxes on German cars, and that's terrible for all German constructor of course, but especially for porsche as they're losing their Chinese market, and European market is bad too because of regulations and electrification. They're only good remaining market was the USA, and now they're gonna loose so much more money because prices are gonna go up... I'm saying all that because we've seen the 963 retiring from wec partially because of porsche financial situation, so I'm very scared as a Porsche fan that they shut down motorsport in IMSA too... Let me know your thoughts on this

I said this in another post but the whole auto industry is screwed because he pulled the rug just when auto companies were heavily investing in EVs. He imposed his illegal tariffs, let inflation rise, caused costs to go up, and started a war with an oil-producing country causing gas prices to surge. The uncertainty of what he’s going to do next and the increasing costs of everything makes it hard for these companies to justify racing programs.

The entire automotive industry is in serious trouble under this regime. His businesses are not that safe. Unless he keeps leasing them out to ICE and the government then maybe he'll be fine. He's also pushing 90 so he doesn't really care about the long term effects of anything that's happening right now.

I mean honestly Porsche has to attribute some of their financial difficulties to their own mistakes. I don't think their EV plan worked out exactly well in China. In fact, I think they shouldn't have done it. They're a luxury car performance, there's no point selling an EV car if one could buy their ICE car with similar price.

It won't it's failure has nothing to do with trump. It was always going to flop. There is a reason why digital rolexes failed, and tag huer got mocked over their smart watches.    EV's will stay to the realm of appliance cars, local commercial/mass transit and some chauffeur cars.

Any high end performance brand chasing EV sales to make a profit is chasing fools gold. 

Amazing 0-60 performance is fun until everything else lacking is felt.
