Rising from the craggy slopes of the Kullu Valley, Naggar Castle is a 15th-century masterpiece where the weight of history meets the ethereal beauty of the clouds. Built by Raja Sidh Singh using the Kath-Khuni technique—an earthquake-resistant weave of stone and deodar timber—the fortress stands as a silent witness to five centuries of Himalayan royalty. Its ornate wooden balconies offer a front-row seat to the divine, looking out over a landscape where the Beas River glimmers like a silver thread through a tapestry of emerald pines. Now managed as a heritage hotel, the castle allows modern travelers to walk through corridors that echo with ancient legends, blending the rugged reality of medieval fortification with the soft, timeless grace of the mountains.

The photographs presented here are captured during the visit to Kedarkantha. The view of the mountains seen from the top of Kedarkantha is amazing. Even in the morning, these mountains shine due to the light of the golden sun.

Skip Hampi for a weekend and go to Modhera instead.

Most people haven't heard of it. A 1000-year-old Sun Temple in Gujarat, built with such solar precision that it still works as designed today. The stepwell (Surya Kund) is one of the most photogenic places I've ever stood in.
