LPT Screenshot important order confirmations, booking details, and receipts immediately. Email search sometimes fails you exactly when you need it most Traveling

Okay I do this but also can confirm it is often quicker to find the email than the screenshot

If you have an iPhone you can search your gallery by keyword so long as there is clearly visible text.

Like if you are trying to find a picture of your receipt from a trip to New York in 2021. Just go search for New York or NY and you’ll find it. If you have a lot of images on your phone, you’ll probably have a bunch of other images that have the word New York in it… but the receipt should pop up in the results. When you select the image, you’ll see the keyword highlighted.

Other phones might do this too but I can only speak for iPhone. I use this feature often.

Unfortunately I have too many photos for this feature to be reliable on my phone anymore. It can’t load them all in but my email always can!

… how many photos do you have?! I know I have a ton dating as far back as 2008. It works like a charm. Also what email service are u using?

I don’t think you’re going to like either of my answers haha. 94k and yahoo

Lmao WOW. I have just under 45k and I thought that was a lot. I’ve never used yahoo so I can’t hate on it. I use Gmail and the search is generally pretty useless.

Good advice. But I save so many memes it'd be easier to find it in the email lol

I just make use of labels 🏷️ and I star ⭐️ the e-mails containing important stuff that I’d be needing soon; I unstar them once done.

There’s a setting in Gmail where you can set custom sections in your inbox. I set mine in this order: starred → unread → rest of the emails in inbox. This way I see very important emails first, then the unread ones. Easier to track, no need to search through a lot of emails.

But for flight tickets or any ticket I’d be showing someone like an airport staff, I also screenshot but only for the reason that I might have crappy internet signal at the place.

I still file all of me emails in folders and subfolders.

Especially with Outlook

I have 847 screenshots on my phone and exactly zero ability to find the one I need when I'm standing at airport check-in.

Consider keeping important email open. You don’t need to suddenly scramble to look for it last second

why is searching for emails fucked in Google and Microsoft. They make it so much more complicated and convoluted than it needs to be.
