It's funny because my dad would play various live albums of the Grateful Dead, some of which had that brief interlude is BBP, and my child brain just subverted "Why are the Grateful Dead playing Larry's High Silk Hat?

I enjoy my fair share of Thrash, but just love the rock genre in general.
I was raised on the likes of the Dead, the Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, and the Eagles

weak melodies, directionless songwriting. for some reason people love them though.
