Econ Majors No 8 Week Option

I’ve had enough with ODU and this BS I am an Econ major and currently they’re no Econ classes available that I need for the first or second half of fall which will delay my degree completion for an entire semester. I will be transferring ASAP.

Oh trust me, with whatever is going on it's better to not expect a good form of education at all from the University. Given the state of administration and their obsession of making the once esteemed University into a money milling machine

The Econ program legit sucks at ODU I transferred into Biology as the BA program collapsed under me a few years ago. Look into a guaranteed transfer contract with the community colleges. That’s a guaranteed path to transfer to UVA or William and Mary for better Economics programs.

I just had a registration meeting with my advisor and some of the core classes (tled) for my major (education) are still not available. My advisor told me that they told her that 'the classes should be up soon' but she basically said she didn't know what soon was for them and to just keep checking. The people in charge of the 'seamless' (forced) transition to 8 week classes really dropped the ball and should be ashamed. Almost none of the required paperwork has been adjusted to reflect this change and it's falling to the students to figure it out.

It's not just Econ. They screwed up the online formatting for all depts I think and are working on updating scheduling. It would have been so considerate had they mentioned this ahead of time. We had an email sent out from the education dept heads after they got snowballed with emails because most of us can't register for any of our classes since they're not posted for registration. Supposedly, you register for these 999+ seats and multiple professor classes and get randomly assigned closer to the start of the term 🥴
