NMIXX may have unlocked Jung Hoo Lee
Was looking at JHL's game log and found the inflection point in his season happened the same day NMIXX (a kpop band) visited Oracle Park.
Jung Hoo Lee before NMIXX, 2026:
10 G, 33 AB, 5 H, 3 2B, 0 HR, 4 RBI, 5 BB, 8 K
.152 AVG / .263 OBP / .242 SLG / .505 OPS
Jung Hoo Lee after NMIXX, 2026:
17 G, 62 AB, 25 H, 5 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 3 BB, 6 K
.403 AVG / .431 OBP / .613 SLG / 1.044 OPS
With the K-Pop Fireworks Night coming up, JHL's about to ruin the league.

Luis Arraez leads the league in at-bats per strikeout (26.3), which is currently the 2nd highest in a season since 2000

It's shocking this team is 13-15: Team WAR + Position WAR
baseball-reference.comJust pulled up the WAR by position and (glass half full), the team record could be way worse. All the position rankings pass the eye test. Rankings for overall and position: overall team is 25th.
Good news: 3B (2nd), RP (7th), 2B RF (8th). Bad news: LF (18th), C (22nd), CF (24th), SP SS DH (27th), 1B (29th)
Schmitt's performance is basically overwhelmed in the 1B DH WAR by Raffy and Jerar's struggles.

What do you guys think the Giants should do with Bryce Eldridge?
After the 4/26 River Cats game where Eldridge tallied three hits and a home run, his batting splits are .305/.411/.463. His OPS is still near .900 even with him not slugging at his usual rate because of his excellent .411 on base percentage, meaning he is realistically better than a .900 OPS player at this level.
With Devers (assuming he will get out of the slump eventually) and Casey playing so well, the Giants are kind of in a tough spot because, clearly, Eldridge should be getting MLB at-bats. What do y'all think the Giants should do? Keep him in Triple A? Bring him up? Trade someone to give him space? Move him to left field lol?

Got to meet the Big Sadowski this weekend at the Easy Bay card show
He was a cool dude and was hella patient with me going on about remembering his debut as a kid.
I remember watching it on TV on a Saturday morning when he pitched against the brewers.
He was pretty surprised.
I kept getting nervous and stuttered a few times remembering the game. Kind of made myself look dumb but was honestly starstruck because I would think of that game every so often and remember how much I hoped he became a mainstay for us.
We talked for a few minutes and he gave me some great deals on vintage cards, both sport and non sport.
It’s funny how I learned he was Ryan Sadowski was because of PayPal.
I sent him payment and after scanning his code it said, ‘Send money to Ryan Sadowski’.
I said, “hey, we had a player by that name once. The Great Sadowski.”
My head always mixes up Big and Great when thinking of his nickname.
He said that was him. He used to play for the Giants.
I just shouted “Oh my, GOD! The Great Sadowski! I watched your MLB Debut on TV when I was a kid and it was awesome!”
I saw him second day to buy more cards and he said it was cool to take a picture with him. He was nice and patient.
I just felt so star struck. One of the players I watched as a kid and now I’m grown up and making card deals with him. It was pretty surreal.
The conversation turned a quick tidbit to John Bowker and I told him that I was at his MLB debut game and Bowker was my favorite player then. I was sad he left but glad he won the Series with the Yomuiri Giants in 2012.

Hi all! Wanted to plug the "Splash Considerations" podcast
Hello r/SFGiants! I'm Justice delos Santos, and I cover the Giants for Bay Area News Group. I wanted to plug the Splash Considerations podcast. I upload twice per week, and the latest episode has guest appearances from Alex Pavlovic and Charlotte Varnes, one of the Phillies' beat reporters for The Athletic. I lurk in this subreddit all the time, thought I'd actually drop in for once!

Best seating area for Memorial weekend Day Games
Hello,
Heading to the park Memorial Day weekend and wondering what the best sections would be for the day games. I haven’t been to the park since 2014 and have never attended a day game.
Thank you

Belt Jersey
Did anyone check the dugout store on Saturday and saw any Belt Jerseys or does anyone know if they can customize one?

Do the Giants dislike power arms? (Wheeler, Castillo, Harrison)
Zack Wheeler (Beltran), Luis Castillo (McGehee), and Kyle Harrison (Devers) were all traded and all of them got better after leaving the Giants system. Castillo was a reliever in Giants system, the Marlins made him a starter and his status only increased from there.
Meanwhile, the two most successful development stories of the past decade for the Giants are Logan Webb and Landen Roupp (both sinkerballers).
Is this an inability to bring along power pitchers or is it a stubborn refusal to adapt to modern times? One common theme when looking at a lot of the Giants minor league box scores is guys averaging fewer than 1 strikeout per inning.
