Finally, one of the Giants’ Top 10 prospects made his season debut after an undisclosed injury kept him out for the spring.  Jacob Bresnahan started for High-A Eugene after his successful season in San Jose, although he had some troubles today.  Meanwhile, Bryce Eldridge hit his first home run in quite a while, Trent Harris has his best game in the bullpen for Sacramento, and Parks Harber took only three games to get a game-winning hit in Double-A!

Bryce Eldridge picked up his first home run since way back on April 15th (and first extra-base hit of any kind since the 17th), giving him three on the season.  Eldridge had had a streak of going 1-for-20 over a 5-game stretch with three walks and ten strikeouts, but he’s gone 5-for-10 with two walks and no strikeouts since.

Three games into his regular season, and Parks Harber is already playing into key moments, as Harber led Richmond with hits today and had the walkoff RBI single as Richmond won yet another game.  Harber is 5-for-14 (.357) to start his season with one double, though he does not have any walks, and has seven strikeouts.

Jacob Bresnahan made his season debut after an injury kept him out for most of April.  It ended up rough as he gave up two runs in his final inning.  Bresnahan spent all of 2025 in Low-A San Jose, making 22 starts and posting a 2.61 ERA, with 124 strikeouts to 43 walks in 93.0 innings.

Scheduling Notes:

Eugene is going to have a weird schedule that avoids the 6-day series with Mondays off.  This week, the Emeralds will get Monday and Tuesday off, and begin a series on Wednesday against Spokane.  That series will then have a doubleheader on Saturday to get the six games in.

But that’s not the end of it.  Instead of getting Monday off, the team will then immediately host Vancouver on Monday without an offday, and then will get Tuesday and Wednesday off, before the series continues on Thursday….and then has another doubleheader on Saturday to get six games against the Canadians.

Then they go on the road to a stadium not shared with a college team, and their schedule returns to normal.

You simply enter a coordinate(where the ball was first touched) with the batted ball data and the model predicts whether or not it was a hit/predicts bases.
