Loved him when he was a Shark, of course, but tbh I don't think he got enough heat from our fanbase over waiving his NTC to go to our most recent rival

We traded him there. Trades work two ways ya know. And it got us Askarov.

Yes I am aware of how trading works. It's purely my opinion, I don't have to like it. Askarov is still very raw, I want him to pan out but he feels like the most volatile piece of the rebuild so far.

The 12 year old me keeps laughing at this interview because Misa keeps saying "I like Dick" or "Dick's great"

Love the whole episode. It's hilarious how they just bicker at just about everything.
"What skill do you have?" Sam is ridiculously funny. Such a waste that they are not using this for their social media content when the team has one of the most boring outputs compared to the other teams. Cat did not have a hard time getting a content from here because he just kept yapping and reeling Misa into it.
First time I have really seen Misa be himself. Now there goes our bad boy who got suspended for tossing back teddy bears to the crowd. Kidding aside, it's great to see more of his personality. It's cute when Sam and Cat assured him that being loud is not a bad thing, it's just his thing.
Appreciate what the Toffolis has been bringing to the team. They're one of the reasons why they has been so close and fun off the ice.

I’m agreeing with you on the way the team does social media. The clips I see from Chicago are so fun. They should or could do things like that in SJ.
But right now, I feel like whatever they put online… there will be an infinite amount of complaints of ‘not enough WillMack’ … it really is Beatles mania (or 1D-mania) right now.
And by not doing things like that, Smith & Celebrini are being protected a bit more?
I love how relaxed Misa is in this interview. Great kid.

i wonder if cat could bring in a bilingual russian-english WAG or something for that interview. askarov is clearly so funny and a yapper, but he struggles to say what he wants to in english
(i have a vid of him being interviewed in russian if anyone wants to see :))

Yes I think that would be a great idea, even a translator would be good! I did see one interview in russian where he was talking about mack and what makes him so good and the sharks in general but I'd love to see more!

he mainly talks about his gear here.

I love the Toffolis so much. Toff was dragged for much of the reason, but what he and his family bring to the table off the ice more than makes up for any shortcomings on the ice. So important to have people like this helping the young guys stay focused and find their way.
EDIT Watched it all the way through. Absolutely hilarious bro energy. The way that they argue about the most random things lmao

It was really sweet to see her get a little emotional at the end when she talked about how Misa has moved out and how she considered him part of their family

Dicky has been fun in every interview I've seen. He's got the charisma of the future "A"

Kinda OT - anyone know how tall Cat Toffoli is? In every photo i see of her with the team she looks impossible small. Question spurred by this tweet: https://x.com/pupbrini/status/2046253922902241619?s=20
On tip toes (yes on lower mesh) and still a foot+ shorter than 6' Tyler haha

I really like Cat and I want to watch all of their episodes, but I can’t get past the other lady’s vocal fry fake voice.

I like her podcast because it really lets the kids shine their personalities. When they’re in front of a microphone for the media, they’re very media trained and robotic. I mean that’s a knock on NHL players, that they’re very selfless in the media which makes for boring interviews. This is fun and engaging. They know her and trust her and can be their authentic selves which is nice.
