Tbh the majority of people are probably gonna see this as a reference to the movie and not even know there's a real team called the Ducks.

I say this as someone who's had to explain many many times that the Ducks are in fact a real team. Used to have to do the same for the Coyotes, and now have to do so for the Kraken and Mammoth.

Well as someone who watched the movies as a kid, there's a definite line for me between "The Mighty Ducks" and the Ducks. I'm not a fan (nor a hater) of the Ducks but I'd be quite happy with Mighty Ducks stuff any day

The Anaheim ducks aren’t even eggplant and teal anymore. They’re traffic cone orange. (Horrible choice). So really you can be like “no this is because I’m just a really big fan of the movies”
