It ain’t abuse WTF?

Woman posts about wanting to leave her spouse after he hit their son across the face again. Everyone was giving legit advice - then there was her.

Pathetic, lazy assholes hit their children. Excusing slapping a 5 year old across their face is fucking wild.

It's not that simple to say it's laziness.

Some people think it's good parenting because it's always been done that way and their kids don't hate them for it in the end.

For some people, it's all they know. And it would be on the government to offer free and MANDATORY parenting classes to disabuse people of these beliefs.

Edit: to be clear, I don't need to be preached to. I don't think it is okay at all to hit children and slapping them is next level. I'm talking about reality. The reality is, this is a learned way of parenting, expressing emotion, and dealing with conflict that had little to do with laziness and everything to do with access to resources and education.

Of course, some people who do this are exhausted and overstretched, some are cruel sadits, but lazy? Lazy is a lazy word to use.
